I have spoken to the owner, had a small electrical issue some buzzing and especially electrical sounds coming from a socket on the wall, which was a bit worrying. The walls are a little thin so can be quite noisy but hey it's a pub...

Check in and out was simple and easy, nice to be shown around.. The lady on the bar was friendly and helpful and explained everything clearly.

As an inn, I expected some noise until around midnight. However, on our first night, (Friday) there was loud music playing from somewhere until after 3am, which made it impossible to sleep. The second night had loud live music bit stopped at a reasonable hour. There is literally no place to hang towels...not a single hook or rail anywhere

Arrival was a bit off-putting. Couldn’t figure out where to check in. The two entrances were a smoking area and pool table, and one into the bar. I guess the bartender is where one checks in.

The shared bathrooms were recently renovated & clean. Was a bit concerned it would be noisy outside with the window open for the heat, but the rooms were comfortable & decently quiet.

It can be a little noisy with the entertainment on Saturday nights, but the pub do warn you of this in the bookings

1. My room had a cover in the ceiling that enabled light to come in. If you are used to sleeping with a sleep mask, and bring it with you, it's not an issue, but future guests should be warned in advance. 2. No mini-fridge heavily limited which types of groceries I could purchase during my stay. Please add a mini-fridge!

TV, remote control, en suite sink, shared toilet and shower, all worked. Decent single bed andwardrobe. Bed Linen and towels appeared fresh, so it's just the finer things of airing the room, and a dust up. Carpet was clean enough to walk barefoot.

A little noisy with children who were playing in the pub garden, but that said the family friendly atmosphere was nice.

A Change of towels and bedsheets would have been nice after a couple of nights as we were there for 5 nights and the set we already did have had stains on upon arriving. Not sure who we needed to speak to for this as we were always out early and not back until very late so never really saw anyone . We just kind of dealt with it since we were going to feel grim each day anyway from spending 12hours in a field despite showering as soon as we got back.

cute little private space with tea/coffee facilities and lucky enough to have our own toilet/shower for the room we booked. Was great as a safe base for us going to and from a festival each day. Staff were also really lovely and informed us about shops/transport that were close by if needed and the free Wi-Fi was great (we didn’t realise the info was in the wardrobe until our 3rd day lol)

Ten minute walk into town. Typical family pub with no frills and a bit noisy otherwise good

The internet was poor in the room we stayed in on our first night. I assume the TV was streamed via the internet because the quality of that was pretty poor as well.

The staff were friendly and very helpful - my room was upgraded for the first of two nights, without my asking, because the staff member checking us in thought the stairs to our booked room were a bit much for my disabled daughter. It's pretty simple/basic accommodation, but very good value and close to the centre of Loughborough
