Mix up about check out time, told at check in it was noon but it was 11. Also asked to pay a good bill when we didn’t eat in restaurant but staff were fine, clearly just an error.

Very quaint and old fashioned but beautiful hotel. Location fantastic and beautiful views from the room.

The only thing that could be improved was location and shortage of electrical sockets, there was one behind door which is not really helpful, firstly if i use the hairdryer theres no mirror and also kettle had to be plugged in there to boil. I found a socket underneath the dressing table so its not accessible

Location is ideal and peaceful, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and tasty.

The restaurant and breakfast room was a bit basic in terms of decor. Melamine tables and bare walls.

The hotel is located right on the seafront and my room even had a view over the lough and to the ferry. There are seats outside and you can sit and watch the world go by. Food in the hotel was very good quality both for the evening meal and the breakfast.

A lovely hotel worth a visit

Our room was small and the decor is a little tired..... having said that we got exactly what we paid for but next time I would upgrade to a sea view. There were plenty of hot options to choose from for breakfast and it was very tasty.....however I would have liked the juices and cereals out on display to be able to help yourself.

The Hotel is well situated in Portaferry, the staff are very friendly and helpful with plenty to choose from on the dinner menu. Our room was quite small for a double but comfortable, clean and tidy. The Strangford ferry is just across the road and it's worth a trip over and a visit to the award winning Lobster Pot.

The hotel is a small hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was adequate for our needs. It was a small double room., bed was clean and very comfortable Towels were fresh and fluffy..the hotel was family owned but has changed hands in the last year.. the style and decor is old fashioned style which is quaint. Siobhan the receptionist was very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, good choices to suit all tastes. Portaferry is a lovely wee town the local people are friendly.

No food available after 7.45pm. We were attending a funeral and when we returned we were unable to have a meal. No where in Portaferry to have something to eat either

Stayed in room 15. Very small!. There was only a gentlemans wardrobe which was far to small to hang our coats and dresses in. Had to hang them on the closing bracket of the room door. The breakfast was barely cooked. Only scrambled egg available, no fried or poach options .

Location superb. Staff were so lovely. One lady called Grainne, was exceptional. Going above and beyond to help. I took ill on the stay and Grainne was there immediately when i needed help, all through the night. She even gave me her own mobile number so i could call her at any stage of the stay. This lady, is a credit to this establishment.

A lovely stay with lovely staff. Room 10 with excellent views over the Strangford Lough was just wonderful. We would love to come again. The evening meal was very tasty. We also so enjoyed popping to the Dumigan’s pub just around the corner, as featured in the Lady In The Wall TV series with its really friendly regulars. There was good wifi despite an indication when booking that there was none. This allowed us to listen to Radio Caroline's internet broadcasts. Quite apt as its just 33 miles to where their Mi Amigo ship was equipped out in 1964!

The only thing I could say is a handy plug at a mirror in order to dry my hair etc but other than that a lovely homely stay. Thank you.

The breakfast was excellent. Hot and met all my allergies. Served very quickly.

What you should dislike is that Booking dot com have a website section offering things to do while in Portaferry. Number 1 is a day trip to Giants' Causeway. Pretty poor attraction for Portaferry!

loved the location near the ferry - which we went on - and we enjoyed doing the heritage tour. Also we went to Mount Stewart and had a wonderful day there in house and gardens.

Car Parking is on street, but free, with some space immediately in front and plenty of other options nearby.

It's a small hotel right on the waterfront with bar and restaurant. Great staff and excellent food. We had a sea front room which was quite spacious and lovely view. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine with a selection of cooked options.

Nothing. Clean room and lovely food

A quaint gem in Portaferry. Manager/owner Adele was amazing, as were all the staff. We were upgraded to a room overlooking the harbour. Adele even lent us her adaptor so we could charge the mobiles. We had breakfast and dinner there and couldn’t fault it. A truly homely and welcoming place.
