Loved everything

Beautifully presented room with a generous coffee/tea tray with lovely biscuits. Good quality toiletries. Staff were very welcoming and the bar was great.

Conveniently located to Stourbridge Junction train station, which gives a great link to the town centre on the shuttle service. Rooms were clearly decorated to a high standard, had everything you’d expect from a b&b.

I am sure it is 'health and safety regulations' - driven, but the lovely room was somewhat spoiled for sleeping due to the bright green light, which could neither be covered nor turned off!

Unique atmosphere, great renovation of Victorian pub with original features, interesting selection of local beers, friendly, helpful staff, very comfortable, generous breakfast (extra charge)

Very friendly staff. Large comfortable and well set up bedroom. Excellent breakfast, including locally sourced sausage! I was a little nervous about booking a room above a pub, but it was absolutely fine!

Nothing. Faultless

Booked two rooms for myself and partner and also my two daughters. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The giant cheese cobs and chips were excellent and great value . Great atmosphere in the saloon area and the breakfast was absolutely brilliant, and massive too. Real Black Country pub with very comfy rooms which were very clean.

Bath towels were a bit small and thin.

Very friendly owners, well preserved historic Victorian pub with original interior features and interesting history, great beer, very clean accommodation, well cooked breakfast available. Coffee maker and kettle. Good sized en-suite bedroom.

Breakfast was overpriced for toast and juice. Only one chair in a double room.

Breakfast was very good; excellent value for cooked meal, Location perfect and easy to find. Room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet; loved the decor! All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

For rooms over a pub it was very quiet in the bars. However, my room was to the front over looking the main road which was a busy road with a lot of traffic noise. I live in the country so not used to so much noise but it wouldn’t put me off staying again. Beautiful pub.

It was easy to find and parking was available outside. Rooms were newly decorated, clean and had all the things you need in it. Shower was hot and powerful and the room was lovely and warm. We booked breakfast and that was delicious, well worth the money and had a great chat with the landlord and landlady after. What a lovely couple. We felt very welcome.

Stayed in hipkiss bedroom. Very well equipped, clean and well furnished Had Sunday lunch, large portions and excellent quality. Need to book as very popular.. Breakfast excellent, two of everything, sausages locally sourced are old school excellent.

Right at the train station but you don’t hear the trains. Great staff super friendly and accomodating
