Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

This hotel was great. Very modern and comfortable with all of the amenities that you need for a weekend stay. I particularly liked the use of codes for the doors etc. You could be self sufficient but there was always someone there if you needed help.

It was clean, the shower was hot and at a good water pressure, I had room to do my daily yoga routine. It was quiet during the night and the bed was comfortable.

Gorgeous hotel, excellent facilities in the room (although the description on booking.com was inaccurate), this was quickly resolved with the reception team and we were upgraded to accommodate for the lack of Fridge.

Firstly, the guy on reception area was super friendly and welcoming. The interior of the hotel is spotless, and finished to a beautiful standard. Room was tastefully decorated, and in nice, calm colours. Comfortable bed, great shower facilities, HUGE TV. Literally nothing more i could ask for. United KingdomNothing much to moan about, perhaps add a safety mat in the shower, add some instructions explaining how things work, the lighting, hob, fans etc. I couldn't work out how the fan in the bathroom worked ,so bathroom ended up very steamed up. Perhaps a bit more than one set of cutlery would be helpful even for single rooms.
Location good for my needs, close to shops and places to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast available lots of choice. Will be staying there again next year.

United KingdomUnfortunately in this particular hotel, there was no view, room faced a brick wall with an extractor running until around 11.30pm. This was just part of location which was central, within an inner city block. This also meant no parking, having to use local public car parks and put money in daily as required. The town of Boston is not really a leisure location but I would stay in this hotel group if it was available in another location
The hotel was clean, modern, with good bathroom, shower facilities. The bed was clean, comfy with two soft pillows. Corridors, reception and breakfast Rea were all clean
