A map showing the nearest car park, as there is no on site parking. The large, free carpark is only a couple of minutes away and the staff were very helpful in explaining and giving directions.

The breakfast was excellent. Service quick and efficient. Their three rooms are in a separate annex at the top of the building, perfect for family or groups, giving guests privacy and quiet from the busy pub functions on the ground floor.

the only slight downside was that you had to share the bathroom facilites but it wasn’t as bad as it seems. they were kept clean and didn’t need to wait to use the facilities as there are two bathrooms. i would stay again regardless of this.

Great location, friendly staff and owners! It was clean and the linen and towels smelt lovely, freshly clean. Breakfast was also great.

The Swan is 16th C listed hostelry. We like the quirky floors and walls. Sandra and her lovely staff could not have been more welcoming on a wet day. comfy room , spotless and relaxing. its a busy , hub of the town pub but the rooms are quiet with thick walls. Breakfast to die for. Sandra and Leah were really helpful with info regarding local places to visit. Thankyou

Nice rooms in a fantastic pub in centre of Thornbury (Rooms are on the top floor and are quiet). Good breakfast. Great band playing on the Saturday night and friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming pub landlord & landlady. We really enjoyed our stay here - Thanks!

The nature of the building means that there are no ensuite facilities. Howeveer, this did not pose a major problem.

While place was charming and clean, the bedding felt like it's a bit old and worn out. Requires a bit more Cleaning, wardrobe was pretty dusty and mirror in the room had a lot of random splashes.

It was warm and cosy, the staff are great and the breakfast was lovely. Over all comfortable beds and clean showers.

Twin room, my mattress was totally bombed out. My wife's one was ok. The showers and toilets are down the hall, communal style. I didn't notice this when booking but they may have stated it somewhere. There's another pub across the street which is a bit loud, the bedroom window faces it, but we actually slept ok.

Staff were really friendly and it was no problem to bring the dog. There was an event on when we checked in - a wedding - and we were worried about the noise, but once we got upstairs you couldn't hear a thing. They left a good quality fan in the room to help us deal with the heat (our trip was at the end of July) and it made a big difference.

Helpful friendly staff. The owner was lovely and even sponsored our daughter who we’d booked the accommodation for at the very last minute as she’s on the John O’Groats to Lands End bike route. Thank you for being so accommodating. Breakfast was great!

We were unfortunate to be there during a heatwave and the south-facing room was hot all through the night - staff had bought a fan which was thoughtful.

I needed somewhere to stay for a work stop over. The swan was excellent value for money. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was bought out very quickly and was very tasty. Would use again if needing to stay in the area.

Sleep a little disturbed as room over high street so could hear people late at night

Featured old building with lots of character. Excellent attention to the little comforts-tea coffee in room along with WiFi access and tv. Plenty of draw and wardrobe use along with ironing board and iron too. Fantastic packed lunch!

Great location, overseeing High St and was very quiet after the pub closed, rooms were clean and had all you needed including a small fridge, staff was very friendly and Sandra the owner made time to speak to us in the morning, breakfast was delicious, and finally the Thornbury castle is only 15 min walk!
