Characterful old house, walkable from the airport if the buses are not available (taxis are way overpriced)

The walk had no streetlights for some of the way so wouldn't do it in middle of night, but after dawn was okay.

Arrived at 11.30pm and had to leave at 5am, and the owners were so accommodating so checking in and out was very easy even at such early hours. The room also surpassed my expectations and was really lovely! Location was great for the airport too, I walked to Stanstead in 40 mins which was great as meant not having to rely on a taxi.

Ubers to/from the airport are expensive, particularly when it's late/early!

Great location, easy to get to and from the airport. We arrived late in the evening then left early again the next morning. Comfortable stay for 3 people

Even if the hotel is directly near to the airport, the rules for pick up and drop off at the airport are draconic, penalizing Uber drivers, so we had to pay a lot more for the 2 miles ride than we usually pay: around 25 quid. Better to take a bus, but if you travel at night then you're in trouble. The guest house is of course old and we realized that perfectly, so didn't expect any luxuries, but still a bit of a touch up is needed, it's quite obvious.

The hotel is very close to the airport. The check in was easy. The bed was so very comfy. There is a lot of detailed information from the hosts on how to get around, where to eat etc. There is even a breakfast option.

The stairs to the toilet is somehow hard to notice, I kept hurting my toe.

It's in a very quiet and beautiful village, close to airport but didn't hear any noise from the planes. The house looks great.

We spent one night at the White House for easy travel to the airport the next morning. The 2nd reason we chose was the way it looks, old world feel :), and very calm place. And amazing bathroom with the bath, so great !!! will definitely come again :) !!

The house is so cute but due to the pretty old and dirty carpets the overall feeling was a bit untidy. Unfortunately the nearby road was also very loud and the garden a bit abandoned - wasn't quite as idyllic as in the pictures.

Communication, check-in and overall stay went really well. The breakfast in the fridge was nicely planned and coffee, tea and water waiting for us were really delightful. The bathroom was just lovely as well as the general design of the room.

Ample safe parking. Lovely house and room full of character. Very helpful hosts Window opened, warm, clean, and comfortable. Shower and bed excellent Kettle, toaster, fridge and cofee machine in the room, and microwave in hall was a bonus. The breakfast was excellent and delivered to your room the night before. Very close to the airport Perfect for a stay and will definitely choose this accomodation again,

2 of the beds were not very comfortable, however we are larger women in our 40s so I’m certain for children, young/small adults they would be absolutely fine.

The location was perfect for stansted airport. Self check in was very helpful and great communication prior to our stay

The property is ok... but the way back to the airport is worst in my life.. i book a taxi and nobody come in that area.. all taxi was too far feom the area .. finally is come one on uber is say 13£ and when he arrive ask me if i want to go to the airport and after say to me to cancel the route and if i want to go with him at the airport i need to pay £30 if no he no take me because he was from the area i think so and he was sure coz no taxi is come there!! then i have to go with him and pay £30 because i try half h to book a taxi and nobody come there!! better book a hotel near airport and pay from beggining 100-£120 is better and simple !! next te i will do like this!🫤ahh i forgot to say i pay for 1 room with privat bath £56 plus airport-location £23 and location -airport next day £30 .. better book a nice warm hotel more easy and simple!!!

Property was a bit old.. but still ok.. nice breackfast.. property was better coz was clean enought inside.. good condition.. the heat was on till 23:00 after they get off.. all night was not so good.. cold inside!!

The price of the taxi from and to the airport which made the stay prohibitively expensive, but that is not the fault of the hotel. If I had a car it would make sense or if the hotel and other hotels in the area got together and organised a shuttle for a reasonable price, it would make a lot of sense.

The only slight problem was that on leaving at 7.30am no one available to help with case down one flight of stairs ,am 85 and 17.5 kg seemed bit heavy. Fortunately carpeted so could slide it a bit .

We did notice some road noise (double glazing would eliminate this). No guest lounge.

The bed was nice and comfortable and we loved the bathroom, it had lots of character. Communication was good with helpful suggestions from the owner.
