How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Both nights in the early hours there were very loud car engines revving constantly and driving around the circuit very close to the accomodation. I think its a gathering point for car racing at night . Shame for the accomodation.

We were disappointed that the first day there was no yoghurt or berries left even though there was still over an hour of service to go. There were also no mushrooms and they ran out of butter. We did ask but was told was no more. There was more the next day?

Stayed in the disable room which was not my choice but only single bedroom available when we arrived even after phoning in advance and being told they could change the booking

For the time we stayed there was nothing to improve on

Pub next door very convenient. Garage opposite handy for a drink and snacks. Good sized car park. Great size room. Very quiet considering proximity to main road.

As a motorcycle rider I was concerned about the security of my bike overnight; all was fine but there's lots of passing traffic using the pub and the garage next door so with hindsight probably a bit too exposed for my liking.
The 'hotel' is on a main route so handy for travellers and the room was spotlessly clean. The pub next door served typical pub food with a good choice of drinks.

The most annoying thing is the tip box on the restaurant card machine, why would I tip buying a drink, if buying a meal why would I tip before having a meal, remove…..this is not America, you should pay staff enough, gratuities should not be a guilt trip and offered when good service has been earned. My son’s burger was not fully cooked and returned. Ample but very boring clone menu like all the other chains, get a chef and do some specials.
Clean and tidy room. Easy to park. Breakfast was nice and a decent amount of options.

The room was spotless clean and very comfortable with plenty of tea/coffee and milk. We didn’t have breakfast but had a carvery the previous night and that was lovely. Will definitely stay again.

Hairdryer didn’t work. Noisy from road if window open, but not too bad when closed. Price kept reducing after I’d booked.

Not the hotel's fault but there is a drive thru KFC and Taco Bell next door and it was quite loud for half an hour around midnight when some boy racers were revving around there. Very quiet otherwise though. Reception is in the pub next door, but there is a number to call if you need anything.
Very friendly and helpful lad at check in. Room very comfy and clean. Double USB socket either side of the bed, which was a nice touch. Less than £50 for the night and quite late check out (11am).

The hotel sadly was near to the road and therefore traffic noise was a problem. Also the fan in the bathroom was noisy, really would benefit from small amount of light in the bathroom without the fan as finding way without light to the bathroom was difficult
Good breakfast and evening meal. Room modern clean and good tea and coffee facilities. Location good in that next to Applegreen. so good in many ways
