Floor, surfaces and drawers were not clean. No mention that hairdryer was supplied. Earplugs not sufficient for noise level. Customers should be made aware of extreme noise at front of apartment. No drawers in second bedroom. Walls very marked in places. No shampoo

The 6:30am wake up of barrels rolling over cobbles for half an hour, would also have been a nice touch to have a few bits in to make a cup of tea on arrival.

We were a family with 3 kids and the flat was perfect. The location perfect, and the other reviews said about some noisy, but for us it not was a problem. We could to rest perfect, and the amenities were very completed. I recomend for a family like us o for 5 person .

The noise at the back of the apartments wasn't very good. Wednesday night is students night and it was very noisy at the bar at the back of the property. And one morning they was taking the empty barrels out and replacing them about 5.30 am.

The location of the Turpin Quarter was fantastic , it was right in the city centre. 5 min walk from the Shambles and Cathedral. Everything on your doorstep. The apartment was tidy and clean.

It's hard for us to carry big bags to the 2nd floor since there's no elevator.

Having a coffee maker in the apartment would be a nice addition. Having a washing maching/dryer was great; however, it took forever for the clothes to dry. The apartment was very clean but could use a good paint job. These are all minor issues and should not deter you from staying here.

The location was excellent. Just a short walk to all sights. A nice welcoming package was provided with instant coffee, tea and cookies. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. Checkin was easy as just a door code for main door and another for the apartment.

Couldn't open windows for fresh air. Hot water in kitchen & bathroom could've been hotter. Lounge area / bedroom definitely looked bigger on pictures. Quite small but didn't affect stay.. Stairs " issue carrying cases upstairs.

Two small things - it was freezing in the house! Had to stick the heaters on full and it did eventually warm up but be prepared if you’re visiting in winter. The shower was also fairly cool - again, wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t December! Also, again this was only an issue as uncharacteristically we went to bed early - there’s a Yates pub behind the property so the music is very loud up until about 1am. Again, not an issue if you’re out enjoying the city! We also we’re refused a late checkout on booking but when we arrived, the welcome pack said that it would always be approved if requested in advance - again wasn’t an issue but a little inconsistency!

The property was in an amazing location - couldn’t have asked for better! So central. It was also decorated pristinely, it’s clearly in very well kept condition. It was also massive! We stayed as a couple but it would also suit larger groups. The lock system was also handy as it’s great to not have to take keys out.

The sofa bed isn’t comfy for sleeping on. Very thin mattress. It was suffering from a bit of wear and tear. The shower wasn’t as hot as it could have been. One of the bedrooms with the biggest double bed was very small. Bedside lamps in the bedroom weren’t working. However, still very good value for money overall given the location.

Excellent central location if you can tolerate street noise from the night club behind and weekend revellers. We had an internet issue and staff were friendly and efficient in getting it sorted.

The apartment is accessed by a key code and we initially had a problem with this as the instructions could have been a litlle clearer. It is up several flights of stairs as it is on the second floor.The second bedroom has twin beds which were attached by clips when we arrived. However on separating them the bedroom which was quite small became extremely small with not much room around the beds. The sofa bed was comfortable and we used it instead of one of the twin beds to give ourselves more room. There is a pub behind the apartment which meant we were wakened early morning with deliveries (metal kegs rolled down the alley at 5.45 am!) Some of the windows do not open which was a pity as the weather was so warm when we were there.

Turpin Quarter is a clean,fresh, modern apartment in a great location within walking distance of the train station and all the major attractions and sights of York. It is well equipped and has comfortable beds with plenty of extra bedding and fluffy towels, The shower is easy to operate and there is plenty of hot water. The apartment is on a shopping street with a Boots, cafes and a Tesco Metro within 100m.

Couldn’t open windows to bedrooms or bathroom and felt a little claustrophobic and very warm. Not enough cutlery, only one knife, 4 forks, 2 spoons and 3 teaspoons. No toilet roll at all, though property details stated there would be some, so had to go straight to shop. Expected at least one, especially as hand wash and dishwashing things were provided which are not as necessary although we appreciated these touches. sofa not big enough, not enough comfy seats for 4
