My second stay here and just as fab as the first. Great communication around how to get into the property and lots of useful local guide books once you're there. The welcome hamper is a thoughtful touch and throughout the property are comforts which make it home from home. Edinburgh is about an hour by bus but services are pretty frequent.Catch the X62 or 37 from the bus stop around the corner. While in Penicuik you must visit the Community shop next to Marmaris takeaway for some delicious scones and cakes! I can't write a review without saying the bed is the most comfortable ever! I hope to stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay

This property is the perfect place where to relax! the property is very well looked after and the attention to detail makes it that extra special. The house and the building are beautiful. Central to Penicuik close to all shops, pubs and bus stops. Such a beautiful property with beautiful green views in a very quiet area. The host was fantastic, very responsive and verry accommodating. This house was super clean and all bed linen and towels smelt amazing! the bed is just a snug! loved it all! Loved the selection of books and DVD for a relaxing night in!

Very comfortable, clean, quiet and well-equipped little flat that suited us really well for our stay. On-street parking was much easier than we'd expected. Local shops from small independents to big supermarkets very convenient. Host was very helpful too and we'd certainly recommend.

No, can’t think of anything other than make sure you choose the correct bus for your end destination as there is a good choice of buses but some more direct than others.

As I arrived in the evening a few food items had been left for my use including a choice of cereals, bread and milk for breakfast. But location very near shops and buses to Edinburgh. Also, I know this location so was familiar with the local facilities

A wonderful, well appointed property, in a fantastic quiet location. It was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed and much more. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch too. Great to be able to read about the history of Under the Arches. Thanks for helping our first of many more visits to Scotland, be a memorable one.

Convenient location for accessing Edinburgh and Rosalyn Chapel. No stairs in property! No issues with parking on the street immediately outside the property.

I loved the location, right in the centre of the village. I also like the architecture around and the house itself is gorgeous. The owners have a good taste, so I felt like at home. What was really sweet, that there were some sweets and snack, tea, coffee... all the important stuff. Just perfect stay.
