We felt very comfortable in this very stylish and respectfully renovated house. It was very clean, cosy and the breakfast was very good with a lot of variety and high quality fresh products. It's really very quiet. A half-hour walk through the fields took us to an excellent pub. We particularly liked the owners' sense of humour. Look out for the mousehole with the elephant.

Clean and bright. Easy instructions for the self check-in. Easy to follow directions. Nice and quiet area. Great to have an old RAF airport close by with small prop planes and gliders. The breakfast has a good selection of cold items cereals, yogurt, cheese, pastries and toast. The honesty bar was a nice touch. The decor was fine with some interesting maps and pictures. A very pleasant stay.

Need for a microwave to be commonly used by the guests

One of the best and most memorable properties where I have stayed. Everything from the location, cleanliness and the facilities provided. For those preferring to stay in a heritage and palatial type of property and feel nature it is a perfect place as you are not very far from the town and still in a nice, serene environment. Furthermore, it is just adjacent to Hinton airport where skydiving is conducted. So, if one is interested in skydiving, then it is an additional advantage. The breakfast was also amazing. Wish I could have stayed longer instead of one night. As it was earlier a princely state, hence, the property is too big and spacious and can give a feel of loneliness for single couples or small families.

The host and hostess were lovely. Happy to help and even came out late in the evening to open the Honesty Bar. The Breakfast was great with good choice, including fresh berries.

We didn’t mind that it was remote but it is over a mile off the road and you must take care because of other cars, horses - and deer! So a little unnerving to begin with. Also it was colder than we really liked on arrival but warm enough by bedtime. The floors are plain wood or cold tiles which we found slippery and we couldn’t get the rain shower to work. However we understand there was a plumbing problem elsewhere and perhaps that affected it. We did wonder if more work was planned for the building as some bits seemed unfinished.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Dark skies and deep silence. Excellent continental breakfast and very comfortable bed. The bar, dining room (what a chandelier and I itched to play the grand piano!) and conservatory/sitting room were lovely. Spotlessly clean and though we never saw the staff the results of hard work were obvious. We loved the quirky hands for hooks in the bedroom.

Only to nitpick but winter duvet heading towards summer got very warm

Walltree house is in an amazing location. There were great communication the day before, we were blown away by the facilities on arrival. A scenic location, stooped in some impressive history.

Continental breakfast - no problem - not prepared esh, so croissants and pastries bit dry and stale and only very skimmed milk - not good for coffee.

Beautiful Georgian house, beautifully presented; spacious comfy room and bed. Well organised and easy to find with the instructions.

7 year old daughter and her grandma have over active imaginations thanks to the glow in the dark gorilla art but it wasn’t a big deal just something to be aware of in the rouge room if you have children or granny’s 😂

Was a very nice stay in a pretty location. The room was clean and tidy with the added benefit of a lounge downstairs. The breakfast was tasty with a good supply of coffee.

The location is very remote which is fine if you are not alone. The room and bathroom really lovely and the breakfast set up was superb.

It would have been nice to have some hot food at breakfast time : this could be done by putting out microwaveable items such as beaked beans. I appreciate however that this is difficult as the house is not staffed at this time

Location was superb: I loved being able to see the planes and parachutists descending Nice selection of cold food for breakfast
