Every establishment needs to look here as they set the example of how a B&B should be. From the moment you step through the door you are greeted warmly and made to feel very comfortable. My son has learning needs and he feels 'at home' here and that means everything to me.

Towels could have been a little more softer but that’s not a big thing and also if they could have hair dyers in the bathroom that would be great. But these are only minor things overall I give 10/10 to Wildercombe house.

We have had a lovely time at Wildercombe house, we are a family of four, spent 3 nights there in two rooms. All the facilities were impressive overall the property was very clean, rooms were big and comfortable, breakfast was great and they have lovely staff.

It would be great if the hotel had a bar and restaurant, but, in fairness, it is not far to travel to local eateries of which the hotel has a recommended list. Would like bigger bath towels!

The whole hotel is spacious including bedrooms and bathrooms. The views are glorious. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of it and well cooked. Lots of room to park. Friendly staff who took time to give us personal attention.

The bed was a little too hard for my liking.

Room 6 was very spacious and well appointed and included a sofa, dining table, kettle, fridge, iron and large TV. A carton of milk was provided in the fridge plus tea and coffee selections. Extras were available on the landing outside. Lovely view over Ilfracombe. The location is about a mile out of the centre of Ilfracombe, a downhill walk. There's a bus stop for the 21 bus nearby which we used to get back. Staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:30. You are asked to specify a time you want breakfast and your cooked breakfast items the night before. This system works very well. Recommend visiting nearby Bicclescombe Park on the walk down to Ilfracombe.

Lovely welcoming hosts and very helpful even though we arrived very late - exceptionally large well appointed room with fridge dining table and chairs along with cutlery and selection of wine glasses - lovely cooked breakfast as well as selection of fruit cereals etc the following morning

Warm welcome. Excellent suite with luxury bedding/ furniture/ toiletries. Exceptional choice for breakfast for every taste/ appetite. Fabulously grand building adapted well for a boutique hotel feel. Plenty of parking on site. Located just out of town, perfect to explore the area.

Great size room with plenty of space. really useful to have a table and chairs plus sofa for relaxing too. Good breakfast with plenty of choices.

We were away early in the morning so missed the breakfast.We were in room 5 and the bathroom was a treat. The only negative point i can think of was a lamp was out on the ceiling and the lamps were of different brightness.

The location was great, the welcome was warm as was the temp. inside as it was very chilly. Our room was large and very clean we loved it.The view across town and out to sea was great. The hotel was well kept, the breakfast room looked across towards the sea.Parking was ample and easy to turn into. We enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future. Many Thanks.Sean and Tracie.

The only thing I can think of but I did not like was that it was difficult to get out of the driveway onto the road.

This place was super clean and the bed was very comfortable, The TV was big, the kitchenette was nice, The bathroom had a shower and a tub with a shower and whirlpool fantastic! Breakfast was the best I've had any bed and breakfast or hotel. I highly recommend this establishment.

Really picky I know and such an easy fix, but as a business looking at sustainability...using separate plastic portions of sauces at breakfast and having to use a teabag for every small cup....teapots and refillable sauce pots would be great. Also....the pillows were pretty hard. We ended up using the sofa cushions!

It was a 20 min walk from town but didn’t really affect us that much.

Excellent guest house, can’t fault it. Lovely big room with great view. Breakfast was like a five star hotel. Plenty of parking. Good value for money too. Even a payable drinks machine dispensing booze. Highly recommend.
