The only down side was where the bed could be 2 singles ther was a bump and gap in the middle

Had lovely twin room on top floor and did have to remember to duck with sloping roof but wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Great place to stay. Owner/Manager very helpful and accommodating. Clean, comfortable and slept very well. Good breakfast to set you up for the day. Enjoyed the cocktails too!

We did find the room (3) very warm at night but then it did have the sun shining in all day. Would recommend to simply close the curtains during the day.

Breakfast was very good. Location for us was ideal. The food in the restaurant in the evenings was excellent. Real gastropub food cooked to a very high standard. Would stay again.

You have to have a car/vehicle to wonder around but it’s the best way to enjoy New Forest National Park !

Hosts very kind, always ready to help. The building is very nice and rooms super clean. Everything is easy to use, but there is no hair dryer. The small village it is part of is so charming as well. Food is delicious

The bathroom could have done with more hooks to hang towels and clothes on as well as another general shelf and somewhere to place your soap etc. in the shower cubicle.

The food for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Very good chef.

Noisy front bedroom on main road. Dusty bathroom Steep steps to/from room. At dinner wasn’t informed if it was table service or order at bar so waited a while to order which we did at the bar in the end. Was late when ordering dessert as waiting around again and was unable to order what we wanted as kitchen closed but they accommodated with a cold dessert. Pillows a bit hard so didn’t sleep to well.

Nice sized warm room. Great facilities in room. Comfortable bed. Catered for our dog. Food was great. Had the Sunday roast. Breakfast included with great options and plenty of food. All staff catering and friendly. Free parking. Good location, easy to find.

We would have preferred a 11.00 check out on the Sunday.

It was a very cosy Inn. The staff were very warm and friendly. The food was exceptional. Compliments to the chef. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to everyone xx

The bed was a small double bed. Wouid have preferred a standard double bed .

Room makeup service was missed on one day and the cleaning routine in the bathroom was a "light touch". Noticed due to our "longer" stay. Our stay was over the Eater Weekend that may have been a factor.

We stayed 8 nights and throughout the staff were very friendly and attentive to any request. Breakfast food and coffee were great. Especially enjoyed the breakfast baps! The room was a good size and on arrival was spotlessly clean. The bed comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. Overall this was a very pleasant stay and good value compared to others in the New Forest area. And the beers good!

sounds silly , but i think some the lights are too bright, a lower light more ambience.

lovely stay, made to feel very welcome , rooms clean and comfy . ate at the restaurant one evening food was nice , good choice of wines , breakfast was lovely . all the staff were lovely and polite and paid lots of attention to our Labrador who didn't mind at all the fuss or the extra treats !

I was unable to park in the car park on Friday night & had to leave my car parked on the road in the close.

Comfortable room with everything we needed. Pub food was great & good value for money.
