Our host was very kind, friendly and thoughtful towards us. She helped by coming to meet us, when we phoned her to say we were lost! Our suite was very comfortable, with interesting paintings and memorabilia around. Breakfast was good. The views (towards dartmoor) were amazing. And we saw a lovely, bright rainbow 🌈

breakfast was great! Room was great ! Recommended restaurant was lovely for dinner! Flowers were great. there was a lovely lounge, did not use it as was tired and went directly to bed and slept soundly, Quirky ducks made a fun atmosphere, each with a lovely story! lots of hot water! Easy to find!

Just a dificulty to find the place, as we had no more Internet connection on the road. As she explained, people often remove the sign at the entrance of the path leading to the house, it is a pitty for her and customers But we found nice people to help and she came to meet us on the road very quickly.

The english breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh fruits. yogurt as well, use as desired The hostess was absolutely gorgeous and attentive to us. She helped to plan our visit to the Dartmoor park, The place is great, we have a private kitchen eventually to prepare diner, the fridge was empty of orange juice, yogurts and other for our accomodation. It was like we were in a private house for us. A living room with a large TV adjoining the bedroom was very confortable, we had also plenty of documentary from Dartmoor Park, that i loved. Nice room with view on the landscape. Property very quiet in a wonderfull nature. I appreciate to park for free The house is in the middle of nature, the view from the house is incredible with a terrace and benches to enjoy it. I will come back with great pleasure

The lack of a shower is an issue for us. Although it’s stated and we knew we chose here for its other benefits and we’re not disappointed.

Fantastic location, fantastic views, brilliant breakfast, Sally and Malcolm are more than hosts they become friends. Private entrance with kitchen facilities, a living room and good sized bedrooms. We will return again and again.

Perfect place to stop after cycling over Dartmoor. Comfy beds and left to own devices except when arriving and for breakfast. Host was so helpful and welcoming.

The bathrooms only have baths - shower room is elsewhere on the property. Didn’t bother us for one night but worth noting.

Lovely guesthouse setup right on the moor. Very comfy homely rooms with everything you need ans a big lounge room for families. Sally is incredibly friendly and helpful and knows the area super well. She also cooks a mean breakfast which you get to enjoy with a beautiful view! Definitely recommend.

We had a great stay here. We couldn't have asked for more. The family room was spacious and clean with its own living room area. The cooked breakfast was very tasty!!

Only one thing. The ensuite bath is under eves, so no opportunity to include a stand-up shower. For those who just love their shower, a bit of a compromise.

Sally was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. She even picked me up from a local village and purchased special cereal for my breakfast. The two triple bed rooms she offers are separated by a lovely first floor comfortable lounge with large TV. My bed was particularly comfortable and the room light and airy was astonishing views over Dartmoor. Motorcycle parking was level and directly outside my room. The entire location is quiet, peaceful and secure. There was a guest kitchen stocked with hot drinks to help yourself and a lovely sitting area outside to drink, reflect and admire the scenery in the evening. Lastly Moretonhampstead is just a mile down the the road with great places to eat and shop and one the best Italian restaurants I've been to. Fantastic location for exploring Dartmoor and exceptional stay and host. Will definitely be one of my regular riding stops.

Very friendly host, lovely breakfast with a good variety of options (from full English down to plain toast and fruit). Comfortable bath and bed with plenty of pillows and sheets. Stunning location in the middle of Dartmoor for stargazing at night and admiring the view during the day!

Absolutely wonderful host! Made my stay very comfortable and like a home away from home. Flexible with breakfast timings and it was delicious :) and the most gorgeous views over the peaceful Devon countryside. I would happily visit again.
