How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

While the dining options are plentiful, the taste of the food was moderate. On the positive side, the staff were always friendly and attentive, doing their best to accommodate guests' needs.
I recently stayed at Amaronda, and overall, my experience was quite pleasant. The hotel's aesthetics are absolutely stunning. The grounds are meticulously maintained, with beautiful gardens, pristine pool and amazing views that make every moment visually delightful.

While the overall experience was delightful, there were some aspects that raised eyebrows, specifically regarding the pricing of beverages. Both at the hotel and on the beach, drinks were priced at a premium; a small bottle of water cost a staggering 1 EUR, with no option for larger sizes, while a 0.3L bottle of sparkling water was a whopping 2.5 EUR. This was quite frustrating, especially considering the nearest alternative to purchase water or other necessities was a 2km trek into town, making us feel like we were stranded on an isolated island where we were left with no choice but to succumb to these inflated prices. A glaring example was when I had to pay 9 EUR for two small bottles of tonic water at the bar, a price which I found to be unjustifiably high. The absence of a small convenience store within the hotel premises exacerbated the problem; forgetting something as simple as a deodorant meant shelling out 18 EUR for a cab to ferry you to and from the nearest store. This area is something the hotel seriously needs to reconsider, as it puts a dampener on an otherwise splendid stay.
The stay at the hotel was marked by several outstanding features that contributed to an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The culinary offerings were delectable, tantalizing the taste buds with a selection of well-prepared dishes. Even more appealing was the tranquil atmosphere; the hotel's quiet location ensured minimal disturbances, accommodating those in search of serenity. Despite being sparsely populated during our stay, the place never compromised on hygiene or privacy, maintaining an immaculate environment that allowed us to feel completely at ease. Everything was exceptional, right down to the tasteful interior that exuded a sense of luxury and the breathtaking beach, which provided the perfect backdrop for a truly memorable stay.

Very clean place - all staff friendly and welcoming. The sea, the pool, the bar, the restaurant, the spa - all absolutely fantastic! We are definitely going back!

Spent spontaneously a wonderful night in the hotel. My wife enjoyed the spa. Great facilities. Loved the pool area, the beach bar and the seaview room. Very supportive and friendly staff. Would come back anytime.

The beach and sea, buffet menu was basic and looks "plasitc".
Only 1hr and 20 minutes drive from Athens. The Beach is not that good. Staff was friendly. Swimming pool was crowded most of the time.

The location isn’t amazing. It’s a 20 minute drive to get to Chalkida where you can enjoy more exciting activities. For a resort hotel however, it’s perfect
The renovation was very well done. Everything looks clean, well-kept, and spacious. The Buffay breakfast was better than hotels three times as expensive

The was no cold coffee served. But to be honest, I didn't ask for one. I just went with what was available already.
The staff upon arrival were very friendly and accommodating. They us offered a welcome drink and wet towels.!!! The room was spacious and clean, they even had a turn-down service. There were many different choices at the breakfast. All the measures for covid19 were kept by the staff. Check-out was also fast and efficient. They gave us cold bottles of water to take with us.

Breakfast was buffet style with almost everything you could think of from different types of eggs to various cheeses, cure meets, fruited, cereal, cakes, breads and much more. They had indoor and outdoor seating by the pool. George, the mixologist, makes the best cocktails, Bianca and Spiro are outstanding servers and cater well to your needs. The beach bar and the restaurant by the beach are a must to either have a drink and lunch. The night entertainment performed by Roula is exceptional.

Okay, the seaside isn’t the best we’ve ever seen
Super friendly front desk lady. The propert was lovely, with live music nearly all day, and a buffet breakfast which made the whole experience even better.

The reception could not provide an invoice for my stay at checkout. They promised to email me the invoice that afternoon one week and 3 emails later still no response. Poor! Bathroom shower-head hip height, literally. Water goes everywhere but not on you. Corners of the shower have build up dirt and grime. Bed sheets had red stains on them. Looks like old blood...Please, do not put these on the beds..
