How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A bit tricky getting luggage up the stairs to the hotel and room.
The location was great, steps away from the old port and easy to walk into the amazing labyrinth of shops and restaurants. All very pretty. The real highlight was the roof terrace where there were stunning sunsets to see each night. Amazing.

The location was excellent, very close to the town square. The room had an oversized queen bed and was comfortable. We had a private balcony with a view of the Myconian harbour. There was access to a rooftop common terrace with an even better sea view. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The shower wets the whole bathroom floor, but that is really a minimum detail, everything else was great.
Great amenities like coffee, water, toasts and sodas. Great location. Bed was comfortable, we had everything we needed in the room.

Check out of season as a lot of activities are closed and it is rather quiet
Amazing views. Clean room. Lefteris was very helpful carrying my luggage up to the hotel. I went to Mikonos for the views but didn't expect the amount of stairs I needed to climb with my luggage. Word of advice...travel light!

There were a lot of cobblestone steps to be climbed to the small hotel and then two flights of stairs to the room. I was lucky as I ran into Mr Lefteris in the street and he very kindly lugged my bags up all the steps and stairs. However, I think people with mobility issues or heavy luggage would struggle. No bar or restaurant at the hotel but plenty in the neighbourhood. Some may find the bathroom and shower a bit of a squeeze.
Modern, clean, comfortable apartment hotel in the port area. Provided with water, beer, soft drinks, coffee, toast and condiments free of charge. Close to the small beach at the Port and many shops and restaurants. Great recommendations from Lefteris on shops, restaurants and attractions. Smart TV with international stations, Netflix, Prime Video, You Tube etc. Good internet. Wonderful views from the rooftop terrace.

Only negative thing was the shower and water going all over the bathroom floor. Needs to be angled so goes toward the drain. Nearly fell over after first shower.
It was in the square so everything was just round the corner. Loved having the heat pump in room.

Everything perfect
Superclean room. Great comfy beds...the extras in the room like drinks, water, biscuits so appreciated. Lefteris is a wonderful host and owner and I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Easily accessible from the old port in Mykonos. Lovely communal roof terrace. Tastefully finished rooms. Simple luxuries (mini bar, coffee machine, WiFi). Great place for a few night stay.

Great location, close to center of town but just far enough away to escape any late-night noise. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!

To be clear, there is one communal balcony for all rooms. Not a problem as it was not busy.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room modern and clean. The balcony was a really good feature, next door is the sky bar which charges a lot for expensive drinks. We had the same, we could hear the the singing clearly from the bar. We had our own drinks from the shop, much cheaper. Very little to fault, would recommend staying at lefteris.
