Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt should be pointed out that there is no parking at the hotel so if you have mobility issues you might to consider that. There is plenty of free parking a 9 minutes walk away.
This is a very stylish comfortable boutique hotel with very helpful staff. It is extremely good value for money, very clean and is perfectly located for exploring the old Town of Rhodes.

GermanyOur studio was on the ground floor; while that had its advantages, it did have a restrictive effect with respect to sunlight and privacy.
Accommodation at Hotel Petrino provides a delightful introduction to the "Old Town" of Rhodes. In the first place, as is true for nearly all private homes in the Old Town, rooms at the Petrino open on to a large and very attractive private courtyard, which encourages a feeling of quiet and peace. Secondly, rooms are within and around traditional stone structures -- which were and are adapted to the environment. Thirdly, the Petrino provides first-class creature comforts, such as great showers, good beds, and very satisfactory WiFi/Internet access. Finally, in keeping with tradition. the Petrino is discreet: just a wooden door in the massive stone walls. Our studio was relatively spacious and well equipped with far more implements than we needed. In addition it was very thoroughly serviced each day by the exceptionally friendly staff. We happily benefitted each day from a full set of clean, dry towels. The location of the Petrino is wonderful: it is near everything (including the three harbours and even the so-called New Town) but feels secluded.

IrelandThere was a flight of stairs to enter our apartment, which could be a problem for some people. If this is the case, you could ask for a lower room. There isn't anything that we would ask the property to improve. It's perfect.
Everything from the warm welcome, the comfortable and spotless apartment, the gorgeous breakfast served in the garden and all set within the historic old city. Probably the nicest staff we've ever encountered. We availed of the airport transfer organised by Nikos, the property owner and were very happy with the price and service. It might have been difficult to find without this.

United KingdomThose not flexible might struggle with the low bed height, high step up from the bedroom to the terrace, staircase with elderly bannister and several low steps inside the apartment We managed fine.
Comms great throughout, lovely staff (Jennifer, very caring, always checking things were fine - they were). Location ideal in the centre of the cobbled streets of the Medieval old town, easy to reach all historic and tourist attractions on foot. Breakfast substantial, apartment fully equipped, large terrace with chairs and sunbeds and great views. Delightful small communal garden courtyard for breakfast, or relaxing, enabling note sharing with others staying at Petrino. This first floor apartment had loo with washing machine downstairs and large bedroom, shower room and terrace upstairs. Many windows, which allowed a breeze, or AC if wanted. We did not switch on either of the TVs.

United KingdomIt wasn’t really suitable for three to stay as the bathroom was off the bedroom upstairs up a tricky spiral staircase. But for a couple it would be lovely.

New ZealandCan’t fault this lovely, family boutique hotel! The location is fabulous. It’s so quiet but only steps from the energetic old town shops, bars and restaurants. It is also a short walk from the palace, beach and ports for ferries to the other islands. We stayed in a split level apartment. I’d be happy to live here! Everything you need and tons of space with gorgeous furnishings and a lovely sun deck. Bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. There is a gorgeous terrace garden with lush trees and herbs. It is a lovely place to sit if you’ve made your own meal or just chill with a complimentary soft drink or beer, wine from the fridge. The family are lovely and happy to help with any questions or issues. I highly recommended this property and will hopefully return.

New ZealandIt was really quiet, which was perfect for us, but if you’re looking for something a bit more lively this might not suit.
Very good communication before we arrived and answered all questions promptly. Really good location, staff couldn’t have done more. We had an issue with the bathroom drain in our room and were immediately moved to another superior room. They couldn’t have been nicer and more apologetic and the upgrade was awesome. Complimentary coffee, salt and pepper were better than the last place we stayed. And at Petrino you also get complimentary water, soft drinks, beer and wine. The stay was awesome and we are booked there again in a few nights. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!
