The wifi connection was not too strong. We had to do some work and it was fine to send emails or edit documents/spreadsheets but not enough to carry a zoom call. We had our own hotspot at hand, so it wasn’t an issue, but it’s probably the only thing we would flag as a downside for those travelers who need to rely on local wifi connection for work or anything of importance.

Philoxenia is perfect for laid-back travelers who are looking for a nice, clean place that offers compact rooms with all essentials to call home during their stay in Corfu. It has a great location that allows you to enjoy the nearby beach (within a short walk from the hotel) - if you choose to spend time locally. If you choose to explore more of the beautiful Corfu - you can get to pretty much anywhere of interest on the island within a 15 minute to 1 hour drive. Philoxenia has everything to make the stay a pleasant and relaxing experience: an outdoor pool with a bar (the staff will advertise the bartender’s signature Mojitos - and they are really excellent!) and a restaurant with a solid, simple and delicious menu that offers Greek classics (great meats and fantastic fresh seafood) and yummy wine. The rooms are modest but nice and clean, and the sea view is a guarantee of a gorgeous sunset every evening. The bathroom in our room was newly renovated which was an extra perk that we appreciated 🙂. We enjoyed daily breakfast very much as well. It offered lots of choices that included delicious Greek yogurt with a variety of nuts, eggs, freshly baked pastries (including yummy spinach and cheeses pies), feta cheese, olives, fresh vegetables and delicious cappuccinos. Everyone at the hotel and at the restaurant was committed to making the guests feel special, they were helpful with tips and suggestions and always present and involved. We always felt welcome, our questions were never left unanswered and we thought everyone was very kind, attentive and approachable. We made some wonderful memories during our stay at Philoxenia and will remember everything about it fondly! G

They are very close to a golf, actually you can see it from your room, the view of the night restaurant is incredible. I recomand to anybody that wants to stay here to not hesitate. You are at the half of the island, you are close to everything.

When there were many guests in the hotel, there weren't enough dishes at breakfast, and one had to wait a bit. While it was raining, one had to wait for a spot to eat breakfast.

In was our first time on Corfu. Hotel Philoxenia is very big. They have nice swimming pool and terrance where you can read book our play a board games in the evening. It is a lot of place to rest. The host is very nice, always smailing and very helpfull. Hotel has got amazing localization, beautiful view on sea or mountains. The breakfast is very good. It is very quiet place so if you want to rest from big city I recommend it to you. Best regards from Poland to Takis and everyone with hotel's staff :)

Just got back from my recent stay here, Hotel Philoxenia is located in the most gorgeous location. Ermones beach is located right down the hill from the hotel which was a wonderful suprise being able to walk a minute down to a beach! The views from our room in 103 were incredible being able to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean you can’t beat it! Rooms were clean and extremely spacious! The hospitality was unbeatable there was always someone available to help you. The food on site was great! Cappuccinos are a must! The breakfast buffet in the morning has everything you could possibly want. Easy to arrange a boat day, or a rental with the Philoxenia family, they are incredible people. Will absolutely be back we were so sad to leave. Thank you for an incredible stay!!!

The Philoxenia is not just a hotel, I've felt welcome and very well looked after. The family that runs the hotel is very loving and helpful with all questions and concerns. The view is fantastic especially at sunset. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. There is a restaurant right next door with very good cuisine. The Mojitos from Papa Takis at the poolbar have been praised many times in the board and I can confirm that. I was looking for a vacation with peace and relaxation and found it.

We loved everything about our stay at Philoxenia! The staff were warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived. The staff are primarily family members who go out of their way to greet us and ensure that our stay is perfect! Our sea-view room was wonderful as pictured. It was clean and comfortable and the view was amazing, especially at sunset! Our stay was relaxing. We can't recommend it enough! The meals were wonderful. And, the pool-side mojitos were the best I've ever tasted! We look forward to returning!

The shower was incredibly small. I'm a large man and it was really difficult to shower properly. There was room for a larger shower. I've been in roomier phone boxes. There's only really a choice of two places to eat. Either the hotel restaurant or the Taverna down by the beach but both are great. There's a bus stop about half a mile away from the hotel which can take you to Corfu town . We used it for a day trip and it was great so we decided to use it to take us back to Corfu on our last day before we went to the airport. It didn't turn up so we had to go back to the hotel and ask them to get us a taxi. Taxi to Corfu was 45 euros.

Great pool area. Spacious room. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Quiet location. Near to the beach. One of the owners explained that we should have booked directly with the hotel as they offer a 10% discount if you can pay cash and they will transfer you to and from the airport for free. This is a huge saving as it costs around 50 euros each way. Basically, don't use booking.com. Sorry Booking.com but people need to know. Also there's a small, slightly unusual shop about half a mile away where you can buy snacks, bottled water, beers, toiletries etc. It closes between 3.30 and 5.30.

We stayed only one week at Philoxenia hotel. Even though everything was perfect starting with breakfast - huge variety of food for every taste and ending with dinner at their restaurant. We had a 1st floor room so the sea view was stunning, we really enjoined every sunset. I totally recommend Philoxenia family and definitely will see them next year 😊

Everything was lovely! The staff are so friendly and helpful, from reception check in to the restaurant. We ate at the pool bar and restaurant and found the food to be very tasty and good portions. The room was great - excellent black-out curtains and air conditioning, comfy beds and very clean. The pool area was very relaxing and we especially enjoyed getting mojitos at the swim up bar from Mr Takis. We were aware the area was quiet and that’s exactly what we wanted - a peaceful relaxing break, but if you wanted to get into town it’s very easy to get to the bus stop. The hotel team arranged our boat trip to paxos - this was a really nice day out (despite a storm on our boat ride back!). We have already started planning our next trip to the hotel 😊

Some rooms are with older bath than others.

Located nicely at a beautiful beach. Less then 5min walk. Balcony with sea view from some rooms and access to pool area. Comfy beds. Big breakfest buffet with everything you need. Friendly staff / owner family all over the big hotel complex
