Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe emergency exit light in the room caused me 2 sleepless nights. This is the first time I've seen in an hotel room such a bright sign so prominently displayed.
Size of the room, comfortable bed

I like the breakfast, have vegetables and fruits. Location is safe and super market is close by. Also, walkable distance to metro.

ItalyI would have preferred a bathtub. Bathroom was nicely done in modern touch but insufficient vanity lighting. Coffee at breakfast was terrible.
Bed super comfortable. Sound proof windows so could hear anything from the road which was quite loud at times. Abundant breakfast if a little lack lustre.

GreeceA bit noisy due to the road outside, even though I was staying on the 12th floor. Curtains didn't cover the whole area of the windows resulting in light coming inside from early in the morning.
Clean room, nice view. Very good breakfast.

TurkeyI stayed here 8 years ago, too. The location of the hotel is perfect; just between Panormou and Ampellokipoi metro stations and it takes only afew stops to get to Sytagma and Monastraki. It is a safe place. The hotel is very clean. Compared to my previous stay, it looks much more cleaner as it has ben renewed. Nice. The personnel are all very kind and helpful. The continental breakfast is satisfying. There were one sort of white cheese which was something "like" feta and one type of very thin sliced fresh stager cheese. Both were okay. There were two types of olives, kalamata and green olives, which were nice. I did not get any deli meat products for personal choices. Fruits were nice, fresh and clean. Just (frankly and friendly) saying; the "nice" continental breakfast might even be upgraded into a much satisfying level by just a little effort. For instance, adding some greenstuff (that is characteristic to the Mediterranean) to the open buffet like bundles of peppergrass, rocket salad, parsley and etc might work. Comparing to my previous stay, I can say that cheese, olive and deli meat product choices were reduced. There was only turkey jambon apart from ham, loukániko, sausage and etc made of pork. During my previous visit, I remember there were many choices of deli meat products of lamb&beef, different sorts of cheese and many types of olives.

SwedenSome negative things that didn't affect the trip too much but that might be worth mentioning are: -At check-in we had to pay a local tax that you apparently pay in Athens of €50 which was not mentioned anywhere when you booked the hotel. -It took quite a long time to check in, you should be able to improve that / or have machines where you can do your own check-in. -There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom. -The minibar sometimes cooled well and sometimes not at all. - We wanted to get a room preferably with a nice view, just as preferably higher up in the hotel. But we got our room almost at the bottom against a facade / wall even though we know there were free rooms that we could have got higher up. -Check-out is very early if you compare other hotels in the world.
Above all, the positive and good things were: -The location of the hotel was good -The cleaning -The breakfast -Easy to find Taxi (Uber) -Luxurious lobby that smelled very good all the time -Easy to find in the hotel Overall, everything was very good.

United KingdomDisappointed the pool area was closed. We did have one or two sunny days during our stay so would have been nice to get some fresh air with a drink enjoying the view! Not much around in the way of restaurants.
Lots of choice for breakfast! Breakfast times were busy but we always got a table Bus stop right outside the hotel for easy access around the city! Hotel restaurant pricy but lovely food and great staff

NetherlandsSwimming pool operation update could be provided on the website if it getting renovated. We booked this hotel for the pool where we could also allow our toddler to play in water. This was disappointing.
The swimming pool was under renovation. We were informed only when we checked in. We understand that this is the season when hotels want to get ready for summer. But it would've been even better to be aware that the pool will not be ready for use. We could've booked another hotel where pool facility was available. Breakfast was okaish, however, there could be more greek food delicacies that can be served for breakfast. in my view, it was average.

IrelandThere was building work going on from 0830, including Saturday. We were not advised of this on booking or at check-in. We were there for some downtime after a recent family bereavement, so it was not ideal. However, the hotel itself was first class.
The hotel is really nice throughout, good location, close to centre metro and bus links. The food was good, and the bars were really nicely presented.

ItalyToo expensive the dinner (38 euro for a Daco salad, a glass of wine, coffee and a glass of tsipouro).
I really enjoy the breakfast. Complete and nice service. Elegant and decent environment. Well connected to the city centre (the closest Metro station is Panormou, 15' distance from Monastiriaky station)
