Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room was okay. The shower was a pvc pipe dropping water but did get warm. The mattress was extremely sunken in so we couldn’t sleep much. Internet was very slow.
It is very close to the airport and a few easily walkable places to eat, plus an ATM in the gas station across the street. There was free clean drinking water and snacks to purchase on site. The hotel grounds were eclectic and artsy decorated with beautifully painted conch shells.

United StatesStaff only spoke Spanish and tried to take advantage of me multiple times because I can only speak basic Spanish. I had to disagree with them 3 different times just to get what I paid for according to the booking. Room was loud at night and a light shined into the window for about an hour around 9 p.m. Bed was okay for comfort.
Convenient location next to the airport. Little markets right next door. A/C worked. Bathroom was ok.

CanadaI am very picky, so here are a few things: -There was a few ants in the room, wandering around. -The windows do not close. this doesnt seem to affect the air conditioner, i think because it is overpowered for the small room, but with the windows open it is always losing cold air, wasting the electricity for air conditioning. You can also hear everything outside because the windows dont close. -They were doing construction on their roof right above my room when i arrived, it was quite loud. but im sure this construction was a temporary thing and is not there year round. it stopped around 6pm. -The washing machine and sink were right outside my room window, and the window doesnt close, so you can hear it when running, but it was only for a hour or so durring the day. -One outlet is very high up, luckily i have a long cord, but others will have to use the one under the desk.
Nice cheap hotel near airport -Best was the location, near the airport. 1 block away, less then 5 min walk. A good gas station with a coffee shop, and a sub sandwich shop inside. A eating sitting area inside, and the gas station itself has a food counter with fries and fried chicken and hot dogs and nachos. The gas station has a good selection of items from all kinds of drinks/water/juice/soda/alcohol to different brands of chips and snacks, and house hold needs. 2 atms. Short 15 min walk to downtown coxen hole, or to lookout points to watch planes land. -The check in was fast, needed my passport and booking.com booking. paid cash. -I was in room 13, a standard room with Air conditioning. It was all i needed. A bed, desk, bathroom. it did have a TV but i didnt turn it on so cannot comment about it. AC was great, strong even though the windows do not close so cool air is always escaping. As soon as i arrived the lady went to turn it on, but i told her i was going out so we can leave it off, but it would have wasted so much electricity if it would have been on, because the windows dont close. There was 3 outlets in the room, one high at about head level near the bathroom door, one under the desk that worked too, and there was a extension cord to the corner table but it had no power. bathroom was basic, but worked. no hot or cold water, only water from tank on roof, was mostly warm at 9:30 am when i had a shower, was comfortable. soap and toilet paper provided. Bed was ok, a bit of a dip in the middle of the bed, but i dont think i noticed when sleeping. -The hotel has lots of decoration with shells and armadillo shells, and plants and bright colours. -There is almost always someone sitting in the doorway to greet you. They have a small snack bar to buy pop and snacks and water, and a small office. I was met by a lady who seemed in charge. There was also a younger lady worker there, and a man near the door.

United KingdomI had booked a room with air conditioning but when I arrived I was told I didnt despite showing the booking and was told I would have to pay more if I wanted an air conditioned room. I explained it is unfair to charge more on arrival when a price was agreed when I booked however communication was difficult as nobody there spoke any English. Eventually I spoke to the owner's daughter on the phone who managed to persuade the owner to let me have the room I had booked but it took a long time and I felt very uncomfortable. If the price is incorrect this should be amended on the site. I wouldnt mind but it is already expensive for what it is and the room was very basic with bugs and the water in the bathroom was not working.
The hotel was next to the airport which is what I wanted.

United KingdomThe hotel is filthy with everything outdated and dirty. There are bugs all over the hotel including all over our bed, we asked to move rooms which we begrudgingly were given by the owners. See pictures below for the bugs on our bed. The facilities are terrible, en suite bathrooms but have ants and bugs all over them, at some points of the night the water didn't work in the tap either. Poor value for money, their cheapest room is 30 USD per night which comes with a ceiling fan. 45 USD gets a twin room which has Aircon but given the state of the whole hotel it isn't worth spending 45 USD here. Staff aren't helpful either and are unwilling to help their guests you have to really fight for it, if you are not able to speak Spanish this would be even more true too.
Location is very close to the airport, 5 minutes walk over the road

United StatesThey increased the price that I had agreed to on booking.com. But I did not want to look for another place. Got to the room and noticed many mosquitoes inside.. They sprayed. But then I realized The windows would not close all the way. And no screens. So more mosquitoes kept coming in. The Wi-Fi did not work well at all. No one spoke English. Finally asked for my money back. They were very unhappy. But finally refunded.
Thought it would be good enough.
