The location was great, beautiful views from the room, only downside was no lift, but only 3 floors so only an issue when taking luggage up and down, complimentary bottle of wine and a couple of chocolates in the room was a nice touch, good selection for breakfast and close to all bars and restaurants

Czech RepublicThe carpeting in the halls of the hotel has seen better days. Ppl were smoking in the adjacent balconies, which makes it stinking for everyone else. The meals we purchased for lunch at the hotel restaurant were not good - pasta tasted like from a can, salad was OK.
The location was right at the seafront, with a beach adjacent to the back of the hotel. Fairly quiet, although there was a new construction being built on the opposite side of the small gulf so some noise in the early morning hours. The breakfast was good, abundant up till the last minute. Staff was attentive and nice. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, so getting around the city was very easy and cheap. No carpets in the rooms. Housekeeping very fast and attentive.

Excellent location to all the best spots in Dubrovnik, close to all the beaches, has their own beach too! Super clean inside, staff were super friendly and helpful! We had a very early excursion and was going to miss breakfast but the hotel prepared a breakfast bag for us to take on our trip. Nothing was too much effort! Fabulous!

GermanyThe bed was comfortable but it makes creaking sound even with very small movements like getting on and off the bed.
I booked the room with seaside view. It was a nice view, it would've been great if it was on top floor. The breakfast was really nice, warm and fresh. I would recommend including it in your booking since it's the best way to start the day. The hotel is located on a direct route of bus line 4 which took almost 15 min to reach from Pile Gate. There are few convenient stores at 3-5 min walking distance for quick snack. Lapad sunset is the best view you can experience in Dubrovnik as the sunsets towards the sea turnig the horizon red.

United KingdomA little cheeky that there was no access to even tap water with half board evening meal, meaning quite an additional expense at the less than cheap hotel bar. A bit of a slog up the stairs on top floor without a lift (but good for a calorie burn after eating!)
Beautiful views across the water and easy access to the small beach. Excellent bus service to Old Town. Fine variety of food for breakfast and dinner. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed cleaned daily.

CanadaThe single rooms could use an upgrade in particular the bathrooms. This did not affect my stay and despite that the room was great value for the money.
I did not stay at Hotel Vis - I stayed at Hotel Splendid (right next door). The staff at Splendid were friendly and very helpful. 15 minutes by bus to the Old Town. A special shout out to Romana and and Antonio at the front desk and the breakfast buffet staff. I had a really nice balcony room overlooking Lapad and the gardens at the hotel were beautiful. Wonderful panoramic walk around the bay but definitely too chilly for me to go swimming (Ist week of November)
