How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room is very spacious, the toilet is clean and dries very quickly! The breakfast is very good. They got 4 dogs and all are very lovely. We enjoy the hospitality of the place a lot. It’s near to the slow boat harbor so you can walk. They also offer car service to the fast boat office as well. Walking about 10min, you can find some Warung (eating place) that tastes very nice

Great breakfast! They give you a menu with 6-10 options, you can select one (like an omelette or a pancake) with coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Spacious locker under the bed. Excellent location, white sand beach is just around the corner, about 10 minutes walking. The bunk beds have curtains and are quite sturdy, you don't feel the other person move.

I liked the hostel so much that I wanted to extend, unfortunately for me, lots of people wanted to stay there too. The staff and the owner really do their best to be of service, be it advice or if you need something. Beds were comfortable and location is ideal.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Planned to stay one night, ended up staying three—this guesthouse was one of the highlight of my Southeast Asia trip! The room was spotless, with a peaceful garden view. Wifi, AC, free water refills... all you need! Breakfast was a daily delight with fresh, homemade bread - try as many options as possible, they are all delicious! The staff made my partner's birthday special. While asked if it was possible to get a cake, they went over the top with an amazing chocolate cake and even joining in to sing. 🫶 A short walk to White Sand Beach, it's the perfect spot for relaxation and snorkeling. If you're tired of the hustle in Kuta or Canggu, this is your place. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for the amazing experience!

The place is good but you should offer some decent pillows instead of cushions, I mean, come on guys!

The room was a little bit small, which make climbing up the bunkbed ladders a little tricky. If I had been staying longer I might have started to feel bored as not much to do there (that I discovered).
The hostel was in walking distance to the port from which you can get boats to neighbouring Gili islands, there were also some warungs and shops nearby which was perfect for me as I had just arrived literally ‘fresh off the boat’ from Bali and so didn’t have to go too far from the hostel to find things. The room was basic but comfortable with big lockers under the bed to store luggage. The bathroom was also in the room, which was handy as no need to walk outside with a towel ect. The stand out feature of this hostel has to be the breakfast. There was such a good selection. I got the gold bowl which was delicious!

The room was nice, but a little bit run downed.
It was very well located if you want to use the ferry in Padangbai. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was tasty and there were several options available. The outdoor area was nice to relax! Next time I will stay there a few more nights and explore the area around Padangbai.

from the moment I arrived, the staff and the owner was very nice! I only stay for less than a night coz I had to take the Ferry at 4AM. When i was there, they had Fat Thursday, belgian traditional dinner. WAS SO GOOD!!!! this small community, most of them are divers lol I couldnt swim even but they were so welcomed! and friendly! REALLY enjoyed my short stays. also IT IS SO CLOSE from the PORT to get to the Ferry. perfect area! Room so clean, had little difficulty coz i am short lol and I got the top bed. but still it smells good, the room cleaned, food great!

We booked this as it’s walking distance to the port. Having arrived from Perth at 1am we just needed a bed for the night for the morning boat to the Gilis. Everyone was perfect for a nights stay, we didn’t have a chance to properly explore the place but the staff were very attentive and morning breakfast was really good.

It can be a bit loud (from the mosque and the Karaoke bar down the street). So bring your earplugs :-).
It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to catch a boat. The staff gave us all the information about the slow boat to Lombok (where we could buy the tickets, timetable,…). The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious!!

The shower was a bit small, but at least the water was hot and the pressure was reaaaallly good!! Also, there are open windows in the toilet and shower (separate rooms, which was nice), so when people forget to close the doors, a lot of mosquitoes get in the room. But these are really just small details. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place to anyone!
Perfect location, walkable distance to the port and restaurants. Bias Tugel Beach and Blue Lagoon Beach are close by as well (better to go with a scooter or Grab though as it’s uphill). The beds were comfortable. Towel included. Dorm was decent size and the locker was big. Really good breakfast with 5 or 6 options to choose from (coffee/tea/hot chocolate included and a bowl of fresh fruits). The staff was really nice. I stayed there for 4 days to enjoy this hidden gem of Bali and I really enjoyed my stay!

Excellent location if using boats next day, staff are lovely and helpful, and breakfast is generous. Huge room with savvy split level floor plan meant our daughter could sleep slightly separate from us, which suited our little family group very well! Very good value for money.
