Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceSome of the things in the room were old and needed some repairs. My room had a pretty old ac unit and I couldn’t set the speed or air direction.
Very beautiful resort with lots of plants located 10 minutes from the monkey sanctuary on the main street of Ubud. Room was cleaned every day and the staff was very friendly.

MalaysiaRoom was located at the far end of reception counter. Not recommend for the mobility impaired. Lack of security at Jalan Bisma entrance.
Centrally located in the heart of Ubud. Walking distance to Ubud Art Market, Monkey Forest, Campuhan Ridgewalk, multiple food outlets, cafes and bars.

AustraliaAs previous people had mentioned, the property is a little dated. No big deal if you don’t expect anything super flash. Our shower head sprayed in all directions which made it tricky when I didn’t want to get my hair wet. One main thing I noticed was lack of information about the resort. There was no info book in the room, no details at reception about any services like restaurant and spa, and no details on day trips or tour services. The room had air con but it didn’t work overly strong which made it warm for sleeping.
The location was absolutely fantastic. Easy walking distance to everything. We had a villa with a private pool and the space was lovely and the water a great temperature. The grounds were gorgeous set around so much bush and open space.

AustraliaThe beds were hard. The first room had a deep bath to stand in to shower. With elderly parents it was not ideal. The lovely staff changed to a walk in shower. Much better !
The staff are brilliant. The grounds a beautiful. It is centrally located.

AustraliaIt does need some money put into the upkeep, little things like sinks drainjng properly and tiles replacing.
This hotel is a precious piece of the original Ubud. If you are hankering after that real traditional feel this aging beauty hits the spot!.

United KingdomThe air con was on but could not change any settings so the room was freezing. There were no taps so you couldn’t have a bath, the plug was broke and the bathroom was very dated. It smelt like stale wee all the time as if you’re in a public toilet. The WiFi was not great. One time we asked for toilet roll and had to ask three times throughout the day because the staff never brought some, we ended up stealing some out of the public communal bathroom.
The location, the pool and the jungle vibes.

United KingdomOur bathroom in our room was a big let down. The shower didn’t work properly, you had to hand hold the head and wash yourself that way. It also had a funny smell after showing of drains. It’s a shame the bathroom was so tired and in need of re-doing
The grounds and gardens of the hotel are so beautiful and peaceful! The swimming pool is also amazing.

AustraliaThe only downside was I booked 2 rooms for 5 people. Both rooms only had one queen size bed. If I was booking 3 people in one room, their should of been an extra single bed available or at least a fold out lounge, or they shouldn’t have let me book the room at all as 3 of us had to sleep in the one bed. I did ask for a rollaway but they didn’t have any available either. Other than this, i genuinely can’t fault the place.
This property was absolutely beautiful. The gardens were very well kept, their was always workers cleaning up leaf litter or fixing things. They keep it very well maintained. Breakfast was great, it was a great location 😊
