Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Abkhazia, GeorgiaI must mention that there are occasionally a few insects in the bathroom, Geday gave us a spray to eradicate them when they appeared. We found this no problem at all. Unfortunately they are building on both sides of the complex, which is a shame because it is such a beautiful and green spot.
Beautiful small complex close to several attractions! The complex consists of 3 bungalows with a balcony and a lovely bed, TV with even Netflix, coffee/tea making facilities and a private bathroom. Swimming pool in front of the door where you can relax for an afternoon. Nyang Nyang beach is about a fifteen-minute walk away and you can easily reach the center of Uluwatu by scooter or taxi. They don't offer breakfast, but it doesn't matter at all because there is a nice restaurant about a 5-minute walk away where you can have a good breakfast. Geday the host is incredibly helpful, during our stay he did everything he could to make it as pleasant as possible. He even drove to Uluwatu temple to get us a ticket for the Kecak dance! (this was sold out online for 2 days, but luckily Geday had his connections). The rooms are clean too. We had a great stay and will definitely come back when we go to Bali again!

ItalyThe bathroom presents a small garden, so lots of centipedes are there. Close to the toilet and the shower. They don't change towels.
Position is good, furniture is nice, light and modern. The staff is nice and helpful.

IndonesiaAs the bathroom has plants, there were like centipedes all over, i’d be careful taking a shower. I did see them all over the town later on tho so i guess they’re locals. The only noticeable minus is the sound insulation; really poor. We could hear every single thing people were saying in the building that is being constructed right next to the hotel and could even hear their YouTube videos. If you’re a light sleeper maybe take earplugs.
We had a beautiful room, just like in the pictures. The facilities overall were amazing.

AustraliaA fridge in the room rather than a communal one would be good.
Nice clean rooms that were a very good size with great air conditioning, Netflix TV and a great sized clean pool. The gardens are very nice and well maintained.

United KingdomThe property isn’t near much/quite far out. We were imprisoned by aggressive monkeys on the second day which stopped us from sitting out by the pool. The towels, bedding and some room aspects need a clean/overall refresh.
The place is lovely, a little run down/some aspects need a refresh.

PortugalThe bathroom smelled a little bit due to the drains but it was gorgeous. The property is not to blame, but the construction next door was a little bit noisy. For the price per night, it would have been nice to have breakfast included but it wasn’t a deal breaker since we had very nice places to go just 10 minutes away on a motorbike.
The rooms and the property in general were really beautiful. We were able to rent our motorbike at reception and it only took 5 min for someone to bring it. Also, the property has a water dispenser that you can use for free to refill your bottles with fresh water, which was really nice.

SpainThere is construction running right after the hotel, which is quite annoying, even though the hotel can not do anything about that. The room was big, but we did not like the bathroom. It stinks and the plants are too big, which is rather uncomfortable while having a shower.
We only spent one night there and I must say that the price we paid and what we got was fair. However, I would not spend more than 1 or 2 nights there. The guy of the reception was easy going and helpful.

United Kingdomconstruction going on a foot away from the boundary of the property starting very early in the morning and very noisy. not the properties fault but just a warning if booking in the near future. tea and coffee available in the room would have been more convenient rather than having to use the outside kitchen and faulty kettle

EstoniaWater was leaking to the room then raining. Little bit smell from toilet (usual in Bali). Constraction in next plot working also Sunday, but in the night was quiet. Anyway I would go back and enjoy defenetely.
The place is private, small, new, tasty and cosy. It is really close to our favorite beach, Nyang nyang.

NetherlandsThe big down side was that when it was raining properly, a lot of water would come into the room through the sliding doors. This happened in the middle of the night and during the day. Because of this I couldn’t sleep at all at night and decided to leave earlier then planned. Especially because it’s not the cheapest place to stay. The staff did try to fix it, but sadly it didn’t work. So I would recommend this place when it’s not rain season!
The place looked extremely nice. Exactly like the photos. Very spacious room and a nice outdoor kitchen. The bathroom was extremely decent as well, the shower worked and they provided you with good towels, both for the pool and for bathroom use. The staff was extremely helpful with everything and didn’t mind driving you down so you would know your way around. Good wifi & tv and the food you could order tasted good as well!
