The staff was very kind and welcoming, especially Ketut who took very good care of us. Breakfast was delicious. Rob and MJ (the owners) are really nice people and it's been a pleasure knowing them. The location is right in front of the ocean and there's no other perfect spot you want to choose other than this... We also highly recommend hiring Sudita as your private driver, he speaks very good English, he's happy to answer all your questions about Bali and he's the best in getting your trip plans even better.

There is nothing to dislike !

Wooden house is the definition of paradise. Perfect location if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger resorts. The rooms are perfect with everything you could need.. The nearby village has many excellent restaurants and small shops. The massage service that can be arranged is highly recommended, they come to the house ! Breakfast on the veranda, perfect every day But what really elevates this place to the top level are the staff, they look after you so well. Many thanks to the whole team for looking after us 🙏

It's not really inviting to go down the stairs and swim in the sea as there is no sand beach (but most of the hotels in this region don't have their own).

Remote place in a fantastic greenery right next to the sea with restaurants closeby (10-15min by foot) and often with a private pool. Loved the outside bathroom with daylight (half open to the sky, you can see palm trees and hear the waves of the sea). We enjoyed the direct access to the hotel next door where we could enjoy some of our lunches/dinners or just a drink. Hosts live in the same place and welcomed us very warmly, even before we arrived. They also organised a private car for airport pick up. Kutuk was a lovely staff who prepared our daily breakfast at our terrace with lots of love.

Stunning property, super quiet and peaceful with beautiful ocean views, the hosts are just incredibly sweet and attentive, I felt so welcome and would have loved to stay longer. Breakfast was also very very good, highly recommend and will come back.

I loved the traditional Bali style bungalow and the view and sound of the ocean made the experience really magical. The staff were excellent and breakfast really good. The pool was clean and meticulously maintained. I will be back for sure!

Today we returned home 🛬and I really want to write a review about the wonderful holiday in the Wooden House of Candidas, where we were from February 8-21, we lived in this heavenly place for 2 weeks, time alone with nature and surrounded by wonderful, caring people! I highly recommend this place to everyone! Having been to many places, nowhere has there been such unexpected attention, amenities, the owners are very attentive, always ready to help!🫶🫶their wonderful staff of producers, we thank them all from the bottom of our hearts! Our professional driver Komang 👏attentive and caring Ketut and Putu!❤️❤️Sari who cooks the most delicious breakfasts!🌺🌺🌺Our morning always started with a smile!😊Having arrived in Bali again, we will return to our wooden house again!Thank you Mr.Rob and MJ for your care of us❤️❤️❤️ ❤️ 10/10 and no less rating for this place! The owners and the stuff were very hospitable and friendly, the room and the territory were very cozy, picturesque views. It was a very calm and relaxing stay. The owners also helped us with the driver to the harbor. Also they suggested different options of restaurants and cafes, moreover it was possible to organize massage directly in the hotel. Thank you so much for hosting us, we really enjoyed our stay with you and next time we'll probably come for a longer stay.

One of my best stays without a doubt. Ultimate introvert chiller place. Quiet. Can't get crowded because the overall capacity is just two huts / 4 persons, familiar feel. The staff strives to make your stay as comfortable as possible and is willing to adjust things to your needs. Many restaurants 5 to 15 minutes walk from the property. Located directly by the ocean. Just few stairs to the sea. Pricing is fair, affordable, decent which adds up to overall good feel. Outdoor bathroom fantastic. Sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my vacation so memorable. God bless you.

Everything was great!

We get the first contact with warm greetings from Wooden House in Candidasa, Bali! Rob arrange a professional driver to pick us up at the airport and transport to the Wooden House. We were warmly welcomed by Rob and MJ upon arrival. The Place is amazing, quiet and the view of the sea is beautiful. Very good restaurants are nearby and can also be reached on foot. The breakfast served by the staff in the morning is top. Fresh fruit, pancakes with banana, everything was delicious! If you love peace and quiet and want to relax in Bali for a few days, you will find a very nice place here. The accommodation, Rob & MJ, the staff, the location, the breakfast, everything top! Thanks Rob & MJ and hope to see you again.

I still think about the breakfast regularly! This place has all the charm and special touches of a bed and breakfast with the additional access to a resort and all its resources right next door. Wonderful staff, beautiful views, and everything is so clean and lovely. Highly recommend!

There are absolutely no faults. Great value for money. we would have loved to been able to have used some push bikes just to make getting around faster and easier in the heat.

Small private cabins on the waterfront created such a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. We are usually pretty up and about on most holidays but since the location is quite a way out from most things and we did get a bit of rain during our stay… so we found ourselves just relaxing and taking in the changes in scenery, enjoying how peaceful it was. Both nights we walked 1.2km up to the Indian restaurant “ Qnara “ which was amazing!! We wish the owners and staff all the very best in running such a wonderful bnb.

Gorgeous quiet setting right on the ocean with an awesome pool. The property is kept immaculate and feels like an oasis.

The owners were very friendly and staff went above and beyond to ensure I had an enjoyable stay. I can’t emphasize enough how impressed I was with the service and breakfast provided each day! I loved coming home to friendly smiles and warm greetings every time I ventured out to explore. There’s only 2 guest homes so you feel as though you have the property all to yourself. The guest homes are beautifully decorated, very clean and include an awesome large outdoor bathroom with 2 showers. The grounds are kept immaculate and provide enjoyable ocean views from your front porch, pool, and waterfront gazebo. You’re tucked away from touristy resorts, but still within walking distance to several great restaurants. I enjoyed 10 days in paradise and can’t wait to visit again in the near future.

I couldn't close the sliding door 100% from the outside (meaning there was a slight gap between the two panels), but it wasn't that big a deal (I didn't even mention is to the owners, I'm sure they would have tried to fix it somehow), because from the inside it was easy to close them. When I went out, I put some paper towels in the gap just to make sure no ants or spiders or bugs wonder inside while I'm gone. But again, I was there for a night only, maybe if I stayed longer, would have asked them to do something about it. Or maybe I was doing something wrong with the door, because otherwise the whole accommodation was perfect.

Found Wooden House Candidasa at the last moment. I only needed some place to sleep because the following morning I was leaving to Gili Air, so wanted to stay somewhere near the port (Padangbai). It was such a great decision to choose this little gem :). MJ & Rob are the loveliest hosts, really friendly without being pushy or "too much". The cabin itself was spotless, and although it's literally on the shore and I thought there will be a lot of bugs and all kind of creatures because of that, there were none. So the cleanliness was a huge plus for me, and another perk of being on the shore is of course that you get to see the ocean up close! It was so peaceful and relaxing to be there. The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee is one of the best I've had in Bali so far. Highly recommend this place :)

This is the most peaceful place we’ve stayed at in a long time. A perfect escape and yet very easy to grab food in any of the restaurants nearby or just have it delivered. Everything is clean and works well, the hosts and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Fully recommend and would definitely stay there again.
