Just small things in the bathroom and not having enough info about the room in the room

It was my first time staying in a hotel that is also a pub. I enjoyed not going out in the evening - had dinner downstairs. And I had brunch - English Breakfast the following day. This was really nice.

The location is so convenient, 5 minutes from the bus/train station, 10 from the Latin Quarter and all the shops that you might need if you are interested in shoping. Lovely room, even better than the pictures on the site. The room was ready even though we arrived a little earlier and they have a lift which was a wonderful surpise after so many days touring Ireland.Clean, cosy, warm, wonderful bar downstairs with good food at reasonable prices. The staff was lovely and friendly, from the girls at the bar to the night auditor. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

The room was tiny, but we knew that ahead of time. The hotel is above a bar, which was a plus for us. But it was also on a busy corner, and the sounds of the crosswalk all night was a little loud. The other issue that we didn't know about was the parking, or lack of parking. There is none at all. We checked in late enough at night to be able to pull up to the curb and drop off out luggage in the bar, (there isn't really a front desk just one of the bartenders to check us in) then take the rental car a couple blocks away to a parking garage. But when we checked out we had to roll all our luggage back a couple blocks to pick up the car. They offered validated parking (to 10 euro a day) but didn't specify which garage we were to park in, so when we went to pay to get our car out, it was 55 euro for the two days of parking. Luckily my wife found an attendant that was able to help us on the rate.

The location was perfect for our stay in Galway. It was in walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The pub downstairs was great as was the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Still being able to hear loud music on the Sunday morning at 2am in the bedroom with the window closed. Also not having breakfast included based upon the price paid.

The property is located in a great location, in the heart of Galway centre.

This is not so much a ‘didn’t like’. As a suggestion. Our bed was VERY soft to the point of almost uncomfortable. The room was a little ‘tired’ but nothing insurmountable. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work which meant it took ages for steam after a shower to disappear. Not great for keeping mould from developing so we would recommend getting that repaired. But there was nothing we ‘didn’t like’ about our stay!

Staff were delightful and extremely helpful. Location was excellent. Breakfast was not only delicious but great value. The shower was excellent. The room was clean.

There was such a lovely person working, she made us feel so welcome and she helped us in every way. I don't know her name but she has blonde hair and had ponytail. She was brilliant. Thank you.

Bathroom facilities: The shower tray was really shabby, hose for the shower mouldy and water pressure in shower weak.

Central location which is handy, comfortable bed, helpful staff and decent breakfast in the pub downstairs.

the window's weren't clean enough

the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spotless, and so was the bathroom. the only downside were window's which needed a proper clean, The staff were very helpful and polite here.

Smell of cigarettes in the landing outside room, we don't smoke but it wasn't in the room, fire alarm went off in the morning, great wake up call 😉 apart from that all good

Great location at the top of the main streets in Quay St and the Latin Quarter, but just outside so its quiet when sleeping. Comfy bed.
