Be aware that one is not allowed to even stop for unloading the luggage in front of the hotel, minibuses only for 10 min. I received a parking ticket 40e for staying in the front of the hotel for 15 min or so before taking my rental car to the parking house. And when nobody gave me the actual ticket at time, I only got to know about this at home in Finland 1 month later on by 2 letters. And the final ticket was raised to 60e as I did not pay it right away. I have been in many hotels but this was a bad surprise...

A good breakfast even though a bit laborious as you had to choose every bit from a rather difficult menu. Good pub with fresh Guinnes served etc. for worn out travellers ;=)

Unfortunately the lift was out of service and the stairs were very confusing so the ‘commute’ to the top floor wasn’t very comfortable

The location is very central and the breakfast was really nice

Breakfast good, location terrific, price far too high. Was an old hotel though recently refurbished. Nothing grand yet hefty price. Would probably pick another hotel in same location next time on Galway.

The elevator was not working. There is no A/c but the alley behind the building is so busy, we had to keep the windows closed. They offered us a room with A/C but we had already unpacked. Fast food restaurants next door and the area has a fair amount of homeless.

Location is amazing. Very near the main pub scene and easy walk to most areas. The staff here was also very nice and did their best to accommodate us given the circumstances including a free breakfast voucher.

No parking - the carpark is 1km away from the hotel. When we went there was no lift and hadn’t been one since January (our stay was late April) Our room was on the third floor. My husband suffers with a bad back & finds it hard to climb stairs. I asked for a room on a lower level but there wasn’t one - staff didn’t seem to care. No reduction in room rate for this lack of facilities of course!

    Good location, nice comfortable rooms

Although the hotel advertised parking, it's not on site, there is a fee (reduced by the hotel through a voucher), and the parking is a couple of blocks away from the hotel. We arrived fairly late and it was raining (classic Ireland), so needing to navigate that distance to the parking garage was not convenient. However, it's a compromise we made to be in a great location. So just be aware, this hotel is for walkers not drivers.

Fantastic central location, a large and comfortable room and big beds. All the usual amenities - kettle, tea, coffee. The restaurant on site was nice and the staff at the front desk were very helpful.

The shower head above the bath looked very old and crusty & only released water from the small centre of it, no matter how much I tried to adjust this. That made washing long hair more difficult & the shower less refreshing. Luckily the bath had a modern hand held hose which helped. When I was checking out I was met with an unfriendly attitude from one particular male staff member, which puzzled me as I had not created any issues that I was aware of. I suspected they considered me a trouble maker for expecting my room to have air conditioning on a hot day. Luckily when I came back later to collect my luggage I was met by a friendly staff member.

When I realised the room I'd booked didn't have air conditioning the hotel offered me another room which did. That room was spacious & had good storage space too. I was also offered a free breakfast the next morning as an apology. The chef prepared mushrooms separately for me due to the others being cooked with meat, so request this if it's your preference. The room had a bath with a shower overhead. The TV included streaming apps such as Netflix & Prime. When I checked out, the hotel stored my larger luggage for me behind reception until I was travelling again later that day. While the lift was being fixed the rooms were accessed by stairs only, but there were only 36 stairs to the 2nd floor with a lounge room half way. Staff offered to help with luggage if needed.

The lift was out of service and appears to have been this way for a long time.. some stains on the bedroom carpet.

Hotel is very conveniently located in the city centre, a bit noisy at night but the windows shut out most of that.. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, good water pressure and temperature. Amazing value for money considering the location

Great breakfast, I loved the Eggs Benedict. The coffee could have been better. Very accommodating with add-ons. It all hit the spot after a night out. The hotel is in a perfect spot to enjoy the Latin Quarter’s shopping and nightlife. It was nice know security at the door at night, just in case…
