How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF BUILDING. I arrived after 11pm in dark and was clamped at 2am. So turned into a very, very expensive night.
Good value, convenient, shared kitchen area so opportunity to meet other travellers. Close to nice pathway near river for running or walking.

The walls were so thin and I was placed next to someone who snored all night so I did not sleep a wink. Unfortunately I left at 6am because there was no point staying any longer.
Everything was great from helpfulness of staff, the room was adequate for what it was needed for.. bed and a shower.

The kitchen bins were overflowing with rubbish. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken.

The property was fine for a one night stay. The first room they gave me wasn't cleaned but they quickly fixed it and gave me a new room. It is far outside of the city center but there are some food options nearby you can walk to.

There was a half broken toilet roll holder in the bathroom that was just a stub jutting out of the wall. When I first arrived there was a fair bit of hair on the floor and on my towels. It was weird how housekeeping came every day but never changed the bins in the shared kitchen. Informed front desk, who asked housekeeping...who took the full rubbish bags away but never replaced it with new bags, so I and the other guests just kind of made do with stacking rubbish next to the now unlined bin.
The onsite gym and laundry facilities and recreation space, also at this price it was so good to have an ensuite bathroom. Friendly and approachable staff who gave me fresh towels promptly. Such a cool idea to rent vacant student rooms out during semester.

Only a small thing but the bathroom light is automatic so took a while to turn off, which at night time when trying to go to sleep was a little annoying! Didn't know which bin was for what. Limited cutlery.

Location is a bit out of the way. Nearby restaurant is a bit of a walk, though there is a fast food place close by. Bus stop is a little closer.
Modern, quiet student apartments with good facilities (e.g., washing machines and dryers), coffee/tea and hot water heater. Friendly and helpful staff. Maintenance issues addressed right away by the maintenance man (though not communicated to him by other staff - I ran into the guy in the building entrance by chance)

It was too warm even with the windows open, no mirror in the bathroom, no hairdryer available, no bathroom bin. The floors were a bit dusty.

There isn't enough information in relation to limited parking spaces re site on Booking.com We were lucky to avoid being clamped and got parking info from APCOA employee about car parking in Motor Tax office around the corner Download the APOCA app before you go.. YUGO should have these details on their website

Room is small and there is TV (only in the common area). Poorly signposted and Eircode not given on Booking.Com website (at least that I could see).
Clean, staff efficient, property well located (for my purposes). Rooms look and feel new.

There is a common room for kettles cooking etc, but I brought a travel kettle. Unusually, the key card must also be used to lock the door when leaving. And no tv in the bedroom, but there is WiFi…
Location outside city, but close enough. Free parking when available, which is a money saving on hotels in the city. Good en-suite, hot water plus towels.
