Food was surprisingly poor and the price relatively high.

The welcome and interest of the staff was great.

The size of the rooms and bed

The atmosphere here was amazing. It felt like true authentic Ireland. The chowder was the best I have ever tasted and the staff could not do enough for you. Perfect place to stay to visit the Slieve Cliffs.

The rooms are adjacent to the pub and are very modern. The pub itself is very quaint, like you would expect from a historic Irish pub. The breakfast was awesome! It is a great location for visiting Slieve League and Donegal.

Not a lot to not like however the air vent in the room was rattling (not sure if there is a way to stop it) and whether it was doing it just because it was windy. Ear plugs are provided and suppose if I’d have used them it wouldn’t have woken me (or I could have just had another couple of the amazing pints of the black stuff!) and I wouldn’t hear it

I’ve been following the rusty on socials for a while and it always looks amazing so happy that I was able to book and it happened to be a night with entertainment on Guinness is amazing and you can have a picture of your choice on it and reasonably priced Food was amazing wish I was there more than one night then I could have tried more from the menu

The bunk bedrooms were depressing. No window quite cramped, not what we expected from a traditional pub.

    we had to leave

Pet friendly , making our dog & everyone else's welcome ,food was glorious as was the Guinness . Having a peat fire going leaves a chilled ambience & the whiff of burning peat . Even our dog had cooked breakfast ,as he was also a guest , sausage .

The room was not what I expected, small and the walls very thin. I could hear people's phones going off all night. And the people next door arguing.

The restaurant (only realistic dinner option for us as the locale is remote and the weather was terrible that evening) was overrun with people to the point the wait staff and bartenders were overwhelmed and unable to provide good service (the kitchen was woefully behind as well). The couple next to us said they had been waiting an hour and a half for their appetizers. We would see some tables receive service but then we would have to flag down a waitress if we were lucky to catch their eye.

Location is very close to Slieve League Cliffs.

The meal choices were limited but the atmosphere in the pub compensated for the choices.

The ideal accommodation for a visit to the cliffs in Teelin, especially for tourists who want to experience the 100+ yr pub with nightly live music but still have comfortable clean newly done rooms with excellent showers.
