Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceNothing it was all very good / slightly pricey but I think that’s the market not the hotel. I think it was mark to market.
The location close to market, sea and transportation. In cool hipster artisan culture area. The manager is a gem who helped me set up taxi app and organise my travel. They even had the channels in French for me -nice touch.

CyprusThere was enough dust on lampshades and ventilator. Cafe downstairs was not serving breakfast as it was last year. The guy on the reception was not very client friendly.
Location is nice, the building itsef is beautiful and very atmospheric. It was quite quiet as the cafe downstairs was not properly working. Larisaon reception was very kind and helpful all the time ❤️ Snow white bedding is one of the best parts of the hotel 😍

IsraelIt was a bit noisy from the fellow guests in the hallway, and the curtains don’t fully cover the windows for blackout sleeping conditions. There factors were not make or break for us, and we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the listing to others!
Loved the preserved historical building! The hosts were fabulous, really welcoming, helpful and hospitable. The room was small but tastefully decorated. Bed was really comfy and the large screen tv on an adjustable arm was a nice touch. Location was amazing, and when the pedestrian walkway on Allenby will be completed it will be all the more prime!

IsraelLight switches located at strange locations, as the electrical sockets, but we managed to get around it. The balcony was small for no reason because it is the roof of the floor downstairs. The fridge was a bit noisy. Area under constructions so not the best sight from the window. The online checkin was confusing and not relevant if you book thru booking, nice thing to point out in bold and maybe not send it to guests from booking.
Clean, Comfy, Good location that is close to everything. Staff is really really nice and accommodating, we were offered free wine and cheeses and in the morning they have some baked goods. Coffee and tea was really good and refreshed each cleanup. The ceiling fan was a great touch to the room.

HungaryUnfortunately there is a renovation on Alenby (they are building the tram line) so it's a bit hard to reach the hotel + it was noisy and dusty the surroundings. If you are going in the next 1-2 years prepare yourself for this.
Tasteful design, beautiful rooms and superb location (close to the sea, center and market). The staff were helpful and kind. The roof top is fab and you could have a quick breakfast there too.

IsraelRoom- even though was nice size - could use extra curtains for morning sun. Shower was nice size but I felt it was all too modern and not functional.
Location is perfect! Building is an old building- for reservation- so no elevator and it's all in original old style decors mixed with new and some art Loved the 5 o'clock wine and cheese And breakfast coffee and some snacks on the roof top.

The hotel staff are charming and know exactly how to answer to my expectation. The check-in can be done before your arrival which is extremely practical if you have to arrive beyond the reception hour as I have done. In this situation,at your arrival, you will be informed exactly how to get your key so that you can prepare your journey without any stress. The place is perfectly situated in the center of Tel Aviv and near every main touristic sites and next to the beach. I really recommend to choose this hotel in order to fully enjoy your trip.

ArmeniaOverall awesome place - beautifully styled and filled with art pieces, preserved the best from old building but everything is new and clean, high ceilings, window in the bathroom and spacious balconies in many rooms. The rooms are cosy and with all the necessary things for comfortable stay. Also great breakfast in the hotel cafe + gallery next door. Convenient location, beach is very close as well

I’ve been to Tel Aviv many times, but I believe that it is one of the most beautiful hotel I’ve seen ever. The location is perfect, close to the beach and also close to the shuk ! Definitely perfect. The staff is quite helpful and very nice. The rooms are wonderful, extremely well decorated, with a great design and top notch equipment. The large balcony is definitely a big plus. Don’t miss out also the wonderful rooftop with a great view on Tel Aviv !

Nice cocktails & great rooftop bar. Location amazing too, although it depends what area you want to be in or nearby depending on whether you're planning to walk around.

IsraelNo elevator, so being on the second floor meant carrying luggage up and down. The AC took a bit of time to combat the heat and humidity. After a while it was very pleasant in the room despite the summer.
clean rooms, old meets new - in a good way. The place had a good vibe which we liked. Bathroom was clean, new, filled with everything we needed.
