Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe Suite is old; there were cracks in the walls and dead bodies of flies on the walls too. Also, something like a wet shirt covered the lamp on the ceiling. It was very weird to enter the room.
the place is beautiful next to the mountains of the desert, and the garden is very green. the staff and the people are very nice too!

United StatesThere was a huge party right by our room on Friday night. Would not recommend to stay here if you keep Shabbat or are interested in a quiet night.
Kibbutz Almog is beautiful. The room was decorated nicely. Loved that we could bring our dog with us. Comfortable beds.

IsraelThe place looks renovated. The room makes a pleasant impression when you enter, but the flaws are immediately revealed. Broken ceramics in the shower room, a dripping faucet that drove us crazy all night, a dirty shower with a dirty mop standing there and signs of rust everywhere because of the leaks and drips. In the bedroom, above the coffee corner, broken plastic pipes are hanging. You cannot completely close the window. We added a buffet dinner at a price of 120 NIS per person. It was clearly not worth it. They served one type of fish, no meat or chicken. Various side dishes and bread. Not all side dishes that listed on the menu were actually served, and not everything was fresh. Drinks - there was only water. Dessert - dry and tasteless cake. No hot drinks. Not recommended and overpriced. Zero investment to have a feeling of Shabbat dinner. Because of the quality and cost of the dinner, we gave up adding breakfast the next day at a cost of 85 NIS per person. After the dinner, there was a terrible DJ who played really loud until late. The acoustic sealing of the room is very bad, the window did not close completely, and it was simply impossible to sleep. The main building where the reception and the buffet area with the tables, one side of the glass wall opens and there is seating outside, like a balcony. They lit a fire there which at first was very pleasant and fun, but when the fire weakened, the whole place was filled with terrible smoke and it was impossible to sit there. No one bothered to do anything about it. The service is very minimalistic. They don't worry about anything. The place is not properly maintained and the value for money is low. The amount of disadvantages for us far exceeded the advantages. We will not go back there.
An excellent location for those who want to spend time in the north of the Dead Sea. A pleasant and pastoral kibbutz. The hotel itself is authentic and nice. Not more than that.

IsraelThe room was quite small for four persons and very basic. The grounds are still not finished and the restaurant was terrible. We waited an hour for our dinner and when we finally asked they had forgotten about it completely. Once we received the food it was mediocre. Staff can also be improved.
The biggest bonus is that the hotel is pet friendly and we could bring our dog Toby on our family vacation.

IsraelBooked a weekend stay with them and even called right after booking my stay to verify that my reservation was received properly. The night before our reservation, I received a call from them that they overbooked by mistake and that my order was cancelled. I asked for the manager and received no response. They offered nothing in return - no offer to reschedule, no mention of a future discount for the major inconvenience. The manager never called me back. Their customer service is unacceptable and I suggest staying away from this place.

Sure, here's your text with some stylistic improvements: Right from the start, it's evident that this hotel serves as the ideal vacation getaway. Situated in a tranquil kibbutz, far removed from the urban hustle, it nestles at the base of the Judean mountains. Just a 20-minute drive from Jerusalem and a mere 10 minutes from the Dead Sea, the hotel offers exceptional value without any compromise. Each guest receives a private room with an ensuite bathroom, pristine bed sheets, a cozy bed, a fridge, a coffee machine complete with cartridges, sugar, and non-dairy creamer. Recently renovated units feature modern bathrooms, while the rooms boast a charming rustic Selina style. Adjacent to the rooms lies a spotless 25-meter pool under the watchful eye of a lifeguard. The pool operates from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and a smaller pool caters to toddlers. Additionally, an air-conditioned synagogue, complete with a Torah scroll, graces the premises. While there isn't a permanent minyan, arrangements can be made with sufficient attendees. This isn't my first time at Selina's, and based on my experience, this establishment places a strong emphasis on customer service. On every occasion, the staff exuded warmth and friendliness. The standout of our stay was Manager Daniel, who displayed professionalism, exceptional knack for accommodating guest requests, and an innate ability to ensure customer satisfaction. In closing, even five-star hotels may have their shortcomings. However, if you seek a tranquil, affordable, clean, and comfortable retreat with a pool and proximity to major attractions, Selina's at Almog should rank high on your list.
