Every time we spend some days at Taj is a very pleasant surprise and exceed expectations. Staff is very thoughtful, caring, very attentive to guests, from check-in desk to room attendants and dining room staff. Breakfast is great, nothing is missing, whether sweet or savory. Nothing - it was amazing!

We booked the Taj Mahal for the final 5 days of a special birthday 14 night trip and were delighted upon arrival to find we had been upgraded from the Tower to the Palace.  We arrived at the room to find it decorated with balloons and also a chocolate birthday cake! House keeping then arranged a simple foot spa in the room which was perfect after a long day travelling. Service was amazing, as you might expect from the jewel in Mumbai's crown of hotels. But we also loved the architecture and the ambience, this hotel is a true treasure from a different age. We took breakfast in the Sea Lounge on the first floor which had a good array of both Indian and western continental offerings, coupled with an amazing view of India Gate and across the bay. Relaxing by the pool was a dream, staff here would always help secure beds in sun or shade, lay out towels and ensure a steady supply of cold bottled water.  The pool itself was heated perfectly, just enough to take off the chill, and plenty of room to either relax or swim laps. The location is great, several great cafe/restaurants within 5 minute walk should you wish to venture out, we recommend Leopold Cafe, Mag St. Cafe and Cafe Mondegar. Don't miss the street markets in an evening too!

Alcoholic drinks seem very expensive and the choice is limited. Often local beers had run out. Wine supply is limited. Communication between the teams could be better - advised to use gym lockers by reception and told by the gym staff we shouldn't use them. A few issues like this but overall very good.

Have stayed at the Taj Palace, Mumbai many times and always rate it as one of the top hotels. From the amount you arrive you feel special - staff friendly and welcoming, both the old and new wing are good - although I prefer the old wing. Pool area is magnificent.

Loved everything it was absolutely incredible Particular shout out to Pankaj at breakfast and Tanvir at the pool. To be honest everyone was astoundingly helpful, the door guys when we left and I panicked that the cab wasn’t coming, their patience and kindness went beyond and the elevator man. The whole experience was fantastic and I would love to come back.

This is an amazing hotel. We visited for my father’s 90th birthday and parents 66th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived to the end of our stay we experienced nothing but excellent hospitality and wonderful care from the staff - to surprising my parents with balloons and cake (more than once) in their room, to providing a special service at the Sea Lounge for our celebrations. The quality of the rooms and food and service could not be faulted. It is the perfect place to stay!

Nothing to complain about the hotel!

Superb hotel with excellent location. Amazing breakfast with extensive variety of choices along with good coffee. Pool area stands out also with its green relaxing atmosphere and pitch perfect water temperature! Staff is very friendly and always available to help whenever you need!
