Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainWe had a room with 0 view and above the kitchen which was extremely loud, even after midnight, and ruined the comfort of our stay.
Beautiful gardens, two swimming pools, and beautiful sea bay. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds.

IrelandThe menu was extremely limited with very few choices. The salads consisted of 3 different types of lettuce and sliced beef tomatoes? The staff had limited English, and it was difficult to communicate. There were always lots of wasps flying around on the dining terrace and for anyone with a wasp allergy it would have been a complete nightmare. I myself got stung twice on day one! The rooms are comfortable but very outdated and the air conditioning is just average
The location of the hotel was quite lovely, it was looking out over the Med and it was very quiet and relaxing. The pool was beautiful complete with sea water and the infinity pool was also beautiful. As it was quiet during our visit it was exactly what we needed in terms of relaxing, but a car would be very useful if you wanted to tour around. The nearest town is Fertilia which is quite small with just a couple of restaurants. The town of Alghero which is quite large was about a 20 minute drive away

SwitzerlandThe beach was not very comfortable but better than nothing.
Great view, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Pool area had enough space, good shade from the hot sun and it was suitable for small children. A lot of parking space, less than 10 min drive from airport and approx. 15 min drive to Alghero. There is nothing close by though so you need a car if you want to see around easily.

Czech RepublicSmall room for 3 persons. Why you push all breakfast guests in a small crowded and busy area instead of using full size of terrace? No gaming tools nor facilities (no playground, no toys). Load music from outside village in the night until 5 a.m. (both thursday and friday). Rooms are overall average (cons idering high price) and whole residential building should be renovated.
Fantastic heated pools incl. infinity sea view and friendly pool guard. Large parking in a pine wood. View to the Alghero. Large bathroom.

IrelandThere is an impression that there is a beach available from the photographs. When I checked my paperwork before travel it mentioned that the beach wasn't open until 15th June but I presumed that was just lifeguard cover not that the beach was a construction site. The beach wasn't available for most of our visit as it was being worked on by the local council and they didn't have it ready on the date mentioned by the hotel. If we didn't have a car to go to other beaches, we would have been very disappointed. Once the council finished work, the beach did look like the photos and was available for use.
The saltwater swimming pools were very nice and the area well looked after. Staff were excellent. Very good breakfast. It's a very nice hotel. The balcony protects the room from strong sunshine which keeps the room cool.

United KingdomHotel was great. Lovely staff, great food, happy with room and swimming pool. Unfortunately the beach was unusable and was in the process of being cleared of seaweed and washed up sea plants. It would be better if it had been cleaned before tourists arrive.

SloveniaIn front of our balcony was the ventilation system for the whole hotel, it was not possible to have an open balcony because of the noise. Very uncomfortable, luckily we stayed only one night.

PolandCheck-in is strictly 4 pm, we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm and had to wait until 4 pm to be invited to the room. I understand that checking-in much earlier is not possible sometimes, but for half an hour I don’t think that our room was actually being cleaned. Especially that checking-out is 10-10:30 am. On Sundays during dinner in the evening there is live music played. Unfortunately, despite being on the 2nd floor we did hear everything, rooms are very poorly isolated so you can hear people from the corridor as they would be next to you.
Great location and the view from the hotel. Extremely nice staff. Varied breakfast but with not much vegetables or fresh fruits.

IrelandThe hotel was a bit secluded. We were advised we could walk 10mins to an area with restaurants however due to it being late Sep it was pitch black at night and there were no lights on the path. We felt very unsafe and actually ran the whole way home. You could get a bus to Alghero for €5 but it was €25-30 to get a taxi home after 10:30
The hotel was in a stunning location. When you arrive you feel like you’re discovering a hidden gem in the woodlands and then you see the beautiful sea view on the other side. The pool and beach are beautiful and enough to bring anyone back
