Room was quite small in a way that we had a hard time unpacking. So we didn’t. There is no kettle or coffee maker in the room. TV is actually more like a small monitor and ours had a vertical line going through the screen. Shower was very small specially if you are going to shave your legs. The bath gel and shampoo are the same pack and basically you have to use the same for all purposes. No soap dish (which is very easy to provide). Elevator is not up to standard. It is extremely small and not sure how safe it is if you get stuck. There are easy things to add to make one’s stay more pleasant. But in whole we had a good stay

Location is relatively good when you find the hotel. Staff are nice and friendly and helpful. Breakfast is descent and the best thing about it is that you can ask for freshly made pancakes and eggs for breakfast.

The hotel is located in the central part of the city, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. The price is very affordable. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a holiday in Sorrento and nearby areas.

Lovely family owned hotel in a convenient location to everything. Breakfast was excellent with personal service. The staff is exceptional- so friendly and they get to know you. It was like staying with friends. I felt safe and appreciated. I love this hotel! I definitely recommend it and would love to stay there again.

The shower water didn't drain quickly enough. By the time I finished my shower I was ankle deep in water. Noise from the traffic outside, even with the doors closed.

The bed was nice and firm. Location excellent. They let me check in early which was great.

Room was cold, when we complained they told us that the heating broke and that we could change hotel but unfortunately we did not have time to do that until the last day due to a very tight agenda and when we asked for a refund on the booking they accused us of ‘blackmailing’. Also the shower drainage and shower hose did not work, making showering difficult and unpleasant. Bathroom was smelly. Breakfast buffet was very limited in choice and quality. We were accused of “stealing” and were called impolite because due to our tight schedule we took literally 4 slices of ham and 2 of cheese to eat on the go. The owner was then standing next to us to check our every move during breakfast. Finally when the last day we had enough time to change hotel and told them that we would like to change, they told us that we “better leave as soon as possible”, basically kicking us out! Very shocked about all of the drama and emotions this family seem to have, definitely not a pleasant stay. New hotel was much better quality for lower price, so Hotel Savoia is not good value for money.

Hotel is a 1 floor or 2 in the old building. Not so great for noise cancellation from busy street, full of loud mopeds...rooms need updating, please don't forget the windows. Old...

The beds were not comfortable and the rooms had a weird, musty smell. The bathroom was very small for a room meant for 4 people. The bathroom cubicle also had fungus in its crevices. The aircon kept going on and off. Despite our initial request for a kettle in our room - while booking the room - there was no kettle made available. The eggs served at breakfast were overcooked and partially burned.

The air conditioning didn't work in our room, so we were put up in another hotel nearby, which was not great. The transfer to and from the other hotel was not smooth. The bathroom light flickered. There was mold in the shower and hairs in the bidet. When we checked out, they almost charged us for an extra night. Seemed like a slipshod operation.

Location was OK. It was a two block walk to the train. Balcony was nice. Booking.com requires a minimum number of characters to get "what I liked" into the review, but there isn't much more to say

We stayed here for two nights in July, everything was great. It is located a short walk from the main area which is very convenient, and the train station is a few minutes walk down the road. We also walked to the port for a day trip to Capri, the only point to note is on the way back its uphill because the port is at sea level and the main section of Sorrento is raised up. The breakfast is really good, with a selection of items. Our room had air con which helped with the summer weather. Also Torna a Surriento Trattoria is a nice little restaurant a few minutes walk up from the hotel, its a great restaurant and I would recommend a visit but the only advice is to book or try to turn up before/at opening time for a chance to get a table. We would return when we next visit Sorrento.
