How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Would’ve been good to have more space between breakfast tables. The restaurant is very small so we felt like we’re eating at the same table with strangers.
Conveniently located, nice and clean hotel. The staff is polite and helpful, breakfast is not bad. Good value fur its price.

There is a lady working at the restaurant (we only saw her there in the mornings) whose level of rudeness is beyond anyone I’ve ever met in my life. She’d follow me and my friend when we were putting food on our plates, clearly watching what we are taking. At first, we didn’t think much of it but when she did this every morning for 3 days in a row it became obvious she had some sort of personal hatred towards us. At some point she stood right behind my friend sorting plates out on the top shelf over her head like she did not exist. I’m not sure what is wrong with that lady but she made our breakfast experience unbearable. We couldn’t feel any care but a prison watch or being in someone’s house stealing food. When I cut a bit of a cake slice she obviously watched me and said no senorita basically saying what I can or can’t take. I didn’t pay for a personal nutritionist so that’s odd. I’d advise the hotel management to sort her out because she spoils the overall great hotel appearance just being herself. Unfortunately I can’t remember this lady’s name but I’m pretty sure it’s easy to find.
We arrived earlier than expected and the hotel staff kindly let us check in early which was a very nice surprise. Also when checking out we were given some extra time to pack bags free of charge with no problem. The cleanliness of all the premises is on a very high level, we were very impressed with that. Overall, every member of the staff we communicated with was very helpful, friendly and attentive.

The standard in the rooms is a little bit outdated in the meantime.
The hotel is centrally located in Milan. For business purposes a good location. Parking inhouse is perfect and the staff is very friendly.

it was difficult to make the room cool enough for the night- we were too hot most nights.
We were upgraded and had more room than we needed. Decor was bit dated but very functional. Breakfast was great, Location is convenient/ nearby to metro stop; area is safe.

The only thing I did not like was the thin walls: I could hear everything happening in the rooms adjacent to mine, even when they were talking.
The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff at the reception was very friendly and check-in and check-out was really fast. The room was clean, quite comfortable and recently refurbished, the bathroom's furniture could be better. The bed, a queen size, was comfortable. Good continental breakfast. The hotel was conveniently located for my needs, at approx. 15 minutes walk from the train station of Milano Lambrate.

There was a small leak from the bathtub through bathroom doors but beside that everything was superb.
The hotel location is great, a few minutes walk to the metro station, breakfast was excellent, great and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable.
