How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There were four of us in one room and two in the other room that we booked. We were told at check in the waters were included with the room stay. There were sparkling waters in the fridge but we preferred still water. I felt uncomfortable (like I was asking for something that was not included) whenever we either called or stopped by the front desk for more waters. Other than that, everything was very nice.

The bathroom has an odour which is not unusual for a very old building. We bought some perfume. Would suggest a perfume spray in bathroom which is very well stocked (thank you)
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location.

The bed was way too hard the so were the pillows.

Rubbish collection along road and road cleaning in early hours woke me up.

I couldn't use the safe provided in the room. Best if the management provides an instructions sheet for the use. However, the management was very accommodating with storing valuables in their safe.

I think I found everything very lovely.
Excelent location in Spanish Steps quarter, magnificent breakfast, very polite and attentive personel, lovely view from the terrace restaurant.

No real coffee in room...basic few coffee sachets...minimum milk capsules...only water in mini bar.

The shower is very small. There was no switch between shower and hand directed flow.
Location is superb. Breakfast is very good. staff is attentive and helpful. Very clean room.

There was an awful smell coming out of the toilet in the first room we stayed in. We understand that it can be because of the old pipes in the building. Other than that, we had no problems/issues on our stay.
The very delicious breakfast that we look forwart to eating everyday. The kitchen staff, Kristina and EJ, in particular, were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that my food preferences were met with a smile. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction did not go unnoticed. The bell boys, Eduardo and Kiko, and the receptionists were consistently helpful, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and stress-free. Their courtesy and efficiency contributed significantly to the positive experience we had at your hotel.

If you are late for breakfast you miss out on hot food Also both rooms had an unpleasant smell which I assume was the drains

In TV , had not ethernet connection so we cannot watch anything. There was no slippers in rooms and its really necessary for bathrooms. Hotel was in ,a little bit , loudly strees area
The hotel was so clean and stuff was really helpful for everything. Breakfast was the most beautiful hotel breakfast of the all time i saw. The hotel was near by every places so i was so easy to going somewhere without using any car or taxi.

Nothing to complain.
Location was exellent: all main shopping areas and exellent restaurants were in walking distance. Was traveling with my adult son and we stayed in 2 bedroom & 2 bathroom Vivaldi apartment in different building than main hotel. It was just 1 min walk around corner. Apartment was exellent for us and hotel staff guided us the first time and showed hoe everything worked. We enjoyed hotel breakfast a lot and roof top terrace very nice. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful staff were exellent.

Room was a bit cramped if you have big luggage and the kettle was a bit dirty.

The room in Vittoria was dark and noisy.
It was central - an easy walk to many popular sights. Christina and Ian were excellent as the breakfast staff.

Room was noisy.
Really the walls are super thin. There were some ladies next door who came in about midnight and carried on partying and laughing LOUD until 2:00 AM. It was impossible to get to sleep. The location is super. The breakfast was adequate, standard buffet. Front desk staff were great. Room was really noisy for €225 really
