Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThere is not a lot around the general hotel area, on the other hand the Metro stop is just 200 metres away.
- We had an early morning engagement and weren't able to wait for breakfast at 7:00, but they prepared us a bagged breakfast with yogurt, fruit and pastries - such a nice touch! - We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, nice menu, good food.

Felt at Home. I was well looked after. For the price highly recommended. Serene environment (former covenant of Nuns) despite close proximity to town.

ItalySome more niceties in the room would have been welcome, e.g., paper handkerchiefs, and disposable slippers.
I liked the position, in a quiet place not far from the metro station. The room is ok, and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast, served in a nice room with nice furniture, is good for Italy, and the staff kindly provided soy cappuccino and indicated what I could eat with my allergy to lactose.

BelgiumDuring the evening the area is full of working girls stopping cars on the side of the road. The area around the hotel is also not very clean (I.e. tissues and used condoms everywhere). Not very nice when walking during the evening to get back to the hotel with children.
It was close to the bus or metro station. Room was clean and big. There was a matrimonial bed and 2 single beds for children. Very good room for a family of 4.

United StatesIt is far from any sites so you need a taxi if that what you want to do. Beware of walking that area during night time. There are "ladies of the evening" walking the street just near the hotel and some shaking in the bushes as some men pay for their services. Me and my wife walked to a nearby restaurant while the sun was still up, and when we were finished, the walk back was a little more scary than the walk there. There were ladies turning tricks in the bushes and I had my head on a swivel making sure nobody was following us. Other than that, a very interesting location.
The hotel seemed new and modern and the room was very spacious.

United KingdomSome of the receptionist needs to improve their customer service. They have attitude and one of the staff Valeria made a racist comment. On Tuesday 8/8/23, the water supply was cut off due to an incident that reportedly happened around the neighbourhood. Valeria was the receptionist on duty. No member of staff approached us to explain what happened as there’s no running water and one can’t even use the toilet facilities. On enquiring how we are expected to use the toilet as we were very pressed, she shrugged and shooked her head from side to side and said there’s nothing to be done except wait until it’s sorted of which there’s no time frame given. On questioning the time frame it can be resolved, she nonchalantly stated her head stated “ but there’s no water in Africa “. As that wasn’t enough she added when we challenged her(thinking she was addressing the issue and stated “oh but India doesn’t have water too”. We found this statement very offensive, discriminatory and insulting and would like that to be addressed to ensure no person of colour has to face that. Mark the other receptionist was full of attitude, didn’t explain things properly on arrival, no information about number for their front desk and when asked what the name of Valeria was, was very reluctant to give it. Eventually gave it after my ch disrespectful attitude. He needs serious training in customer service for all races!
The location is fantastic! It’s close to all the attractions and to the airport. Very close to the train station, metro and shops. Made it very easy and enjoyable to commute to the attraction centres. The kitchen staff are exceptional, very attentive to details and Samuil stood out the most for me. Excellent customer service.

The hotel is bright and clean, we were welcomed by a lovely lady at reception who was very helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel was quiet in the evenings and we slept well.

RomaniaThe filth in the city and the congestion in the places to visit, to which if appointments are still made, then some steps should be taken to allow a more airy and not crowded access...
The Swedish buffet style breakfast was good and with fresh products. The coffee was very good. The location of the hotel is near the Marconi metro station, on the outskirts, with good connections to the city center. A bit dirty city, though...

SyriaI booked a room with a garden view, and got no garden view, unfortunately. When I communicated the issue the next day, the staff member said it was the only room available and I booked last minute. The room I booked with a garden view was exclusively chosen by me, because the website said it was available. The staff member also said he can't do anything with the price upon asking, because everything was already paid, unfortunately. I was also assigned a room for handicapped people, which is not a problem at all, I just hoped it had the garden view. The next morning upon my arrival I was awaken by hammering and drilling in the next room starting 8 O'clock, I guess there were some renovations. I wish I had better luck here, or this was communicated with me before I checked in.. On the second night I asked the staff to please delay the renovations in the next morning, because I needed the sleep. Although I checked the location prior to booking and the transportation possibilities, the busses in real life don't frequent to the location that often at night, it is too long for a scooter (and I am not sure I am allowed to park in that far-away area), so the best way was to take a taxi. On the next day the two other staff members (morning and evening) had a somewhat a "dry" communication towards the customers including me, which I did not expect. Maybe because I was comparing it to my better experience with the staff member on the previous day. The hotel is located very far from the city center and you might want to choose another location, if you are a female traveling alone and don't have a budget for taxis.
The staff member I was contacted by on the first booked night was very polite and friendly. He asked about my check in time and if I needed anything. He was also very helpful when I told him that I am going to be late because of the poor public transportation to the hotel and the difficulty finding a taxi, so he provided me with a taxi number. We had multiple Phone calls and we updated each other about the time of arrival, which was a good thing and gave a sense of safety as well. He even recognised me upon arrival without me having to introduce myself. I highly recommend taking a taxi, if you want to reach the hotel at night and alone. In general, the people in Rome are very friendly and positive. I love it there! The room was very clean, the cleaning service was very friendly as well. In general I'd say, if you're traveling with your car, this hotel might be a somehow ok option in comparison to the prices of other hotels in the city center. (I still find the price high for the location; maybe because it was last minute?) But if you're not traveling with your own car, you might want to consider adding some more euros, if you're taking taxis.
