Too much noise from neighbouring rooms

The property was clean and well maintained. It was really quirky - the decor was original. Comfortable bed. Check in was easy. The breakfast was great. The pool was a most welcome addition as the weather was warm so a swim was great. The hosts were friendly and very helpful.

The only problem we had was the distance from town and the train station. But as it was a last minute booking we can't complain.

We were expecting a small attic room 107 square feet , as per description on Bookings.com. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had a very spacious room at the top of what looked like a castle tower. We had exclusive use of the outside area at the top of the tower. The two girls were very helpful and attentive.

A bit expensive but as we were looking somewhere relaxing from the city, it was worth it for us

It is about a 20 min walk from Lucca’s walled city but it feels so much further. It was a great place to relax in the afternoon with a fabulous pool and the lunches were excellent. The staff are so friendly and make the stay so much more pleasurable. Great breakfast to set you up for the day. If we return we will definitely go back to this hotel.

It is a little far into Lucca when you walk in and out twice a day. I appreciate that they do have bikes for hire

Georgia the amazing staff member who solved everything had a lovely manner . She even came and got Me at 6.15 to take Me to the train station as I couldn’t get me a taxi .. what a superstar

Shower was tiny...

We were met with a very warm welcome on arrival. Breakfast staff were helpful. Accommodation was lovely with our own little courtyard with table. A short walk to the city walls made this a great quiet location. Good car park.

There seemed to be a shortage of towels for the pool; we had to ask for fresh towels each day, and one staff member was abrupt with us the third time we asked, when he told us we should hang onto them each day. This would have been reasonable if there had been a way of drying the towels in the room, but there was not. Also, breakfast felt rushed each day. The villa was quite full and the breakfast room had a limited number of tables. Every morning our family of 5 had to fit around a square table set for 4, and as soon as we had finished eating, we felt that we should make room for the next round of guests entering the breakfast room. It would have been nice to sit for 10 minutes and enjoy a coffee.

The pool and grounds were lovely. The bar by the pool was an enjoyable addition. The family room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a nice relief from the heat outside. Breakfast had a good range of fresh choices. Out of hours entry to the Villa was easy and clearly directed by messages from the staff. The walk into town was approximately 25 minutes; quite an easy, flat walk.

The walls are very thin. You can hear your neighours talking and snorring ;)

The staff was really friendly and could help aus with everything. The city gate Santa Ana is in walking distance (15-20 minutes). The pool area is clean and nice. Drinks are a little expensive (compared to what you get in the city), but still good. Breakfast was good as well. We would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was good, but personally I like a more personal approach. Breakfast was served in a canteen area, which was full with all the guest at prime time.

Situated perfectly close to Lucca. Staff was very friendly and helpful with bookings and tips for things to do. Swimming pool was clean and ideal after a day of being out.

Hard to criticise. Third storey no lift maybe.

Good accommodation, great staff, nice pool and breakfast. Only a 900m walk to the vechio part of town. Cute dog on site.
