Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaEverything was great for our first stay in Tokyo! You may find you need to transfer subway lines a little, but I'm sure that's the case with anywhere you stay in such a large city 😊
The location was incredible! Right near a station and convenience stores for food and drink. The rooms are comfortable, albeit a bit small (but that is the way with all Tokyo stays!) and there is free soft serve icecream and toiletries.

Rooms are small in size but very smartly arranged giving you everything you need for a trip to Tokyo. Shower had a rainfall shower and was amazing after long days exploring! We arrived gone midnight and the check in process was very speedy and easy, it’s around 25 mins to Haneda Airport (£40-50 one way). Washing machine service was brilliant, free ice cream machine which is very tasty and plenty of free toiletries at reception if and when needed. Close to subway station and only a few stops from Shinjuku and Shibuya so location is perfect. 7Eleven and Lawson on the same road and both 24hrs for any of your needs. Lots of restaurants nearby.

AustraliaLove the modern facilities. The room may be very small but still comfortable. Their bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The towels are very plush and luxurious. Love the free amenities that you can help yourself with. Most convenient location (only a 2 minute walk to Roppongi Station on the Hibiya line), it's close to everything. Their cool rooftop bar. Most importantly, the free ice cream which is a blessing and relief on a hot and humid day.

Good location in Roppongi. Free ice cream machine, and coffee, tea. Clean room, comfy beds, all you need for one night. They offer late check out until 12 pm. It costs 1,000 yen per additional hour.
