How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing. I like them for the price I paid.
Easy check in and check out with flexible time. Also possible to pay with cash or card. It has public onsen and free ice blocks for your drink. Highly recommended

The breakfast selection wasn’t great. Compared to other APA hotels I stayed at, the choices at breakfast were minimal.

Location is excellent, very close to the Osaka castle. The hotel has onsen, with a lot of toletries included. Its clean and furniture is quite new.

The room although new felt exceptionally small. Additionally 1-2 additional washing machines in the facility would be useful.
The proximity to Osaka castle as well as access to one of the Subway lines is excellent. The staff was perhaps some of the friendliest I had in my visit.

They kept insisting on cleaning my room even if I was in there which forced me out of my room and dident let me sleep in. It was at a ridiculous point of doing it about every other day.

few touristic atractions were in the walking distances from the hotel. Breakfast was very simple comparing to another hotels where I stayed in Japan

The room is quite small with that large bed inside. There are some books written by the hotel owner and his wife with weird viewpoints in the room. The cleaning staff leave their cart near my door, making the aisle very narrow to pass.
The hotel locates at Tenmabashi Station, within walking distance to Tenmangu. The room has a fridge and a TV to show info with movies. The breakfast is nice and palatable, with a bento containing nine side dishes. There is an onsen on the 2nd floor to relax guests' bodies and minds.

Rooms are crammed as per normal for Japanese hotels but you've got everything you need and it's all neat and clean. Great location too right next to the Castle and metro, and in a quiet area too.

As is just next to Main Street, can hear some traffic noice during late night.
The shower place located at level 2 are the best of this place.

The air conditioning system did not appear to be working properly as the vent was jammed. Once this was flipped down it worked fine.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal for daytime and nightlife along with getting to Haneda airport being straightforward from this location.

Rooms are quite narrow (therefore the low price) but if you're only looking for a place to just sleep and shower it's perfect.
Standard APA Hotel, not the cheapest hotel but most likely the best value for the service you get and the facilities you can use. They have coin laundries, spa, vending machine, fridge, 24/7 open front, etc. You have a Family Mart right next to the hotel and the Temmabashi Line (Metro) is just a couple steps away from the hotel.

Check-in unnecessarily complicated, the guest does all the work while the receptionist just watches! room a little cramped, double bed only accessible from one side, no bedside table. Like many other hotels has joined the war against the drawer, so little storage space for underwear and the like
Convenient for Osaka Castle and Tenmabasi station for the subway and trains to Kyoto. Really appreciated the public bath and the clothes washing and drying machines

Even though the room was great it was still a bit small for two people so if you are travelling together you need to be ready for limited space. Also the trash bins were small as well, they get filled up very quickly. But as far as I know you can collect extra trash and place it outside of the room for it to be taken away.
We loved staying in APA Hotel! The location was perfect, 2 min walk from the metro station and 5 min walk from the Osaka Castle. The staff was friendly and helpful! The hotel is very clean and i loved the smell of clean laundry in the halls :) APA is also very generous with amenities, we were getting new towels, shower caps, yukatas, toothbrushes etc. every day. You can also use hotel umbrellas if its rainy outside. Would definitely recommend this place!

A little more space will be good.
Although hotel room is small but it is very well equipped hotel with all the essentials to make you feel pampered. Even laundromat and hot bath is right within the hotel. Minimart is just next door too.

During cleaning-times the elevators are a bit too croweded with staff and of course other travellers. Prepare then for many stops while going down ;)
Very good location-wise since its so close to the station and to Osaka Castle!

We stay 14 nights, included breakfast. Unfortunately everday same breakfast not to many options. Therefore sometimes we skipped and went to StarBucks near by to have something else.
