Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsIt was my first time in a capsule hotel and I'm happy I booked this place. The capsule was very clean and comfortable, there was no noise and the spa itself is amazing especially for that money. The location is also great because everything is within walking distance.

CanadaThe mattress is quite hard and it gets pretty warm at night inside the capsule despite the integrated fan. Make sure to take advantage of the bath and sauna before going to sleep!
The staff is very charismatic and helpful! The sauna is very spacious and there are several bath options including an outdoor rooftop bath. Capsule rooms are quite spacious as well.

ThailandThe area outside of the toilet on the floor I sleep in smell a bit bad honestly, probably because of the toilet. Locker is too small for your luggage, but you can keep them at the front desk if you need to. Other than that, it's a damn good place to stay.
Good location, right in the middle of downtown Hiroshima and just 20-minute walk from the Peace Park and other tourist spots. Bed is good to sleep in, and the amenities provided is very good. They have shaving foam, razor, toothbrush, hair and face products, and probably more. Staff is also very nice. The sento and sauna inside is super good honestly, worth the price just for that. Super recommend. The restaurant inside is also cheap and pretty delicious.

United KingdomConsidering the price it was probably justified but there were less amenities about, for example there were toothbrush available but did not see toothpaste, used my own, and no slippers, walked the whole building barefooted
Staff were very friendly and they actually remembered me by name everytime I go in and out. Personally for me it was about a 20-30 min walk to the station but I was OK with doing that

Czech RepublicMy first experience with a capsule hotel. Everything went as described in various online forums. Super friendly front desk staff. Onsen beyond expectations - yes, the pools are a bit worn out, but everything was absolutely clean and - much to our surprise - the onsen has actually 2 floor, where the upper has ceiling open to the sky!

Everything. It was unique. The old style Japanese spa, sauna and showers. The very roomy capsules, the sixth floor recliner sofas , like being in a first class airplane cabin, and top notch down to earth cheap as chips canteen - which seemed to be open round the clock. Top marks.

United StatesParking options are awful and I had to pay 2200 yen for simple overnight coin parking. That's nearly as much as the stay at the hotel. Many areas are rusty and are need of cleaning, repair, and repainting. A little renovation work here and there would do wonders. Parts of the floor are too slippery, I think.
Location was right in the middle of a very busy, interesting area. Not what I would call a family area but great for singles and young people looking for a good time, I guess. The staff was all smiles, fun to interact with, and super nice. Even spoke English at every opportunity -- a very pleasant experience for such a place, as it's something I'm not really used to.

LithuaniaAmazing place. Very friendly stuff. You need to take off your shoes before entering the hotel, so you can walk everywhere with socks, because carpets are laid on the floor. Capsule bed is pretty big, comfortable, there were a lot of space for you and your belongings. Plus you have locker for belongings. Location was good, at the downtown, 25 min walking to the Hiroshima castle and 20 to Atomic Bomb Dome. And the best part is the free spa (or we can call it Japanese style onsen) with everything in addition to it (towels, night wear, sleepers, toothbrush, razors and etc.). Spa has indoor and outdoor pools (and even proper 90°C degree bath). It was very enjoyable to rest in the evening at the spa.

Vietnam- Have to check out at 10am and be able to check in 3pm every single day even you stay on consecutive days (I do not know why but it seems to be a policy of the hostel) - It was actually a terrible experience for me. Some people snored too loudly and did not fully lower the blinds. I was woken up at 1am. Then, I asked to change to another capsule. However, I was woken up again by another guy when he watched porn movies and turned the volume up too loud at 6am... - Small locker

GermanyDon’t expect a modern building. The spa area is very old, some pools looked dirty. Also the capsules are not super modern. People didn’t talk that much in the Building - I would say it’s not a place for foreigners / travelers.
The people there were nice. Communication was hard because they didn’t speak that much English. The location is close to the main attractions in Hiroshima - like 20 min walking for example to the piece memorial and the A-Bomb Dome.
