Perfect location, 5 stars. Would definitely stay in the family room again which fit our family of 4 comfortably. Loved the downstairs bathroom/private tub. We enjoyed it every night. There are two toilets ( upstairs and downstairs). Spiral stairs down to the bathroom.

(1) Please put instructions on the coffee machine in the lobby (I couldn't guess the logos) (2) You have to turn in your room key to front desk each time you leave, but that's a minor inconvenience, because it's manned 24 hrs.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended restaurants and made reservations for us, even for some hard to book restaurants. The hotel provides nice pajamas and will loan you a stool and bucket if you want to bathe Japanese style.

I was traveling alone so I opted for a smaller room. The staff had pushed the 2 twin beds together for me but despite the “bridge-padding” you could feel a slight gap between. Still had a restful sleep! But if I’m lucky enough to return to Kyoto, I’ll definitely stay here again but opt to book a larger room that allows for a true king bed and the larger onsen-like bathroom.

Everything about this boutique hotel was quality over quantity. Coming back to the hotel after exploring all day felt like a welcome relief where I could truly relax after. From the furniture and decor to the bathroom fixtures, everything was newer and well maintained. The staff was very helpful in assisting with food/restaurant recommendations and reservations. Special shout out to the housekeeping staff who never seemed to miss any small detail when resetting the room each day, showing a lot pride in their work.

I would prefer breakfast of my choice even if it was a la carte... the mattress was too soft for us. other than that everything was perfect.

the location is great. near the metro and main street, very close to Nishiki market and Still quiet. the staff were excellent spoke good English and were very helpful. breakfast was given to the room so you couldn't choose what you liked, but it was satisfying.

Fabulous service and amazing room facilities. The front desk staff always recognised you and welcomed you with a smile. The bathroom, with its own zen garden and gigantic bath, was like having your own private onsen. All-around an amazing stay!

It's a smaller hotel, so they didn't have a washing machine and dryer were you can wash your clothes yourself. They do offer a service which washes your clothes in 2 days though.

The hotel was a great location, close to a big shopping street and also metro station. The hotel and the room was very clean. Our room had a bath, the whole room is quite new and spacious. The hotel staff was amazing, everybody spoke English. They were attentive and pro-active in helping us finding transportation to the airport in the end of our stay. The breakfast was also delicious and brought to our room on time every morning. There are restaurants all around the hotel.
