Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyNothing negative really, I would’ve liked to be able to take home the pijamas (or had the option to buy them).
We loved everything about this hotel. Location is great, ginza is a very lively and fashionable neighborhood. The breakfast was amazing, we got to try many new things. The lounge time was a very nice surprise, we drank sparkling wine and had Japanese snacks.

PolandThe price is a bit elevated, you can find cheaper hotels in Tokyo that are as nice as Muji. Also, it’s not possible to watch Netflix on the tv in the room nor to use your own chromecastz It would be also nice to have washing machines in the hotel.
We spent here one night during our Tokyo trip. The hotel is nice, equipped with Muji accessories and it’s really well designed. The room is big enough for 2 people. The big plus is that you’re literally staying in the Muji Ginza flagship store. And the drinks and snacks served in the lounge in the afternoon are a nice touch.

Fast check-in with cheerful staff. Minimalist Muji design everywhere with careful touches of decor, very calming the moment you step into the hotel. The room (type D) was a decent size and well designed; everything was easily controlled by the iPad at the desk. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch as well. Amenities are plentiful and many are free to take. The pajamas provided and the beds were so comfortable; the duvet felt like a cloud. Breakfast was also amazing, with many Japanese and Western options. Well worth the money. Located in the heart of Ginza, just a short walk from Tokyo Station, but on a side street and very peaceful at night. When we first checked in (3 people), we found only 2 pairs of slippers provided in the room. It wasn’t a problem; we asked for another pair at the front desk and they sent one up right away. During checkout, they apologized again for not having slippers ready for 3 people. It wasn’t a big deal at all to us, but we appreciated the attention to detail in their service! Tl;dr: We really enjoyed our stay and this would be our first pick if we get to stay in Tokyo again.

The overall experience was amazing. From walking into lobby and then into your room. The room has a ton of freebies for you to bring back home. Additionally, hotel guests are able to go to the lounge around dinner time where there are more free snacks and drinks (alcoholic too!).

United KingdomAbsolutely brilliant hotel and so well located. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are compact but have all the necessary amenities. The bed is comfy, and the staff restock all the Muji products daily. The hotel is located near metro and JR Line stations and is very easy to find.

United StatesI don't have any complaints. Interaction with staff was minimal, but they were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast offered a generous selection of Japanese and a bit of Western food. It was good, nothing amazing. I enjoyed the late afternoon/early evening lounge setup where you could have a glass of wine and some snacks. I was traveling with my adult daughter, and our room was fabulous-- a bit bigger than some of the apartments my daughter has lived in! We had a bunk bed-- more like a king bed with a loft above it. The entire wall on one side of the sleeping area was a book shelf with a mix of Japanese and English books, a number of them art/ photography books to browse. There was a sofa area, a desk, a sink outside of the bathroom. Lots of Muji products in use, even some Muji swag you could take with your. And if you're inspired to buy more, the flagship store is right there off the lobby. Nice to have an in-room coffee /tea maker. The clean, simple, natural wood walls and furniture and the neutral colors exemplified the Muji theme of uncluttered, well-functioning simplicity. Great rain shower with unpolished granite walls and floor.

GermanyThe bed was not especially confortable, especially the cushion. So flat !
Exactly what we expected from the Muji Hotel. The room was big enough for two adults and 2 kid and our luggages and stroller were fitting in the entrance area nicely. Lots of amenities and free snacks and stuff. The view is non-existent but it didn't matter much. Conveniently located close to many point of interests in Ginza, in a quiet street. The cocktail hour is very nice (free drinks, wines, and snacks at the end of the day). We would come back.
