It was a little away from the main attractions in kyoto. Needed to take the subway.

Amenities, for example the cool drinks as you come back after a day of sightseeing. The coffee the drink in the evening and the spacious and clean rooms.

This property has a great vibe. It’s close to the train station making getting around easy. The bar and welcome drinks daily were great. The communal areas are airy and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Joseph,in particular, was super helpful and friendly. He quickly resolved a check in issue and gave helpful advice when needed.

The bed was too hard for me, so I didn't sleep well. Although there is a free self service laundry, it is always occupied, so be prepared to wait in line. We used a laundromat at 110 meters from the hotel, which was faster and easier. Shame you cannot simply reserve a spot.

Nice hotel, two minute walk from the train station. Open lobby in the center of the hotel where they provide a free drink every night, which you can enjoy with live music! The room was perfect.

This was the only onsen that had a moldy smell.

Directly next to the Kyoto train station, it was easy to navigate the city from there. The room was small, but included a couch and a table. Took breakfast and it was tasty.

The smoking area at the 5th floor didn't have ash trays (maybe could have been provided if I had asked). Wasn't too blown away by the dinner (had Thai curry, the Japanese dishes would probably have been a better choice) but was tasty still.

Absolutely stunning interior design of the rooms as well as the common areas. Modern with a cool industrial touch. The staff is very friendly and helpful (I was lent an adaptor without any problems to charge my phone and got help to book a taxi very early morning in order to reach Tokyo station by metro in time for my Fuji excursion), their English is fine although not fluent. Very good value for money and definitely perfect if you need to catch an early flight from Haneda as they have frequent shuttle buses.

The self check in and out is not customer friendly. I really prefer talking with someone

The location is fantastic, it is walking distance from the main train station in Kyoto where all the trains to the different Kyoto attractions depart. Breakfast buffet has many good quality options, the welcome drink is a good mixed cocktail and the ambiance is very cool.

Such an easy location for travelling and close to main train station. Good to have a balcony in the room and nice touch having free drink each night. Breakfast variety good…no egg dish available first day but after asking, some available next morning.

Japanese hotels generally do not offer much space for storage (clothes, shoes), just this hotel has as good as none (one bar against the wall with 4 clothes hangers; that's two hangers pp). The aircon did not seem to work very well (or it was us not understanding the remote control).

This hotel is not your typical Japanese hotel. It is exceptional, in a good way. The public space and facilities are amazing and the rooms have a balcony!

Not a really big issue, but the rooms are small. This is common in all Japanese hotels.

I love the courtyard. It gives it a very charming atmosphere. Having a welcome drink always helps. We have stayed here twice.

The pillows were to flat and we only got 1 each so would like to 2 pillows per person. The room was really small and the oversized furniture did not need to be in there. Then 2 suitcases could have been opened!

The hotel itself did not provide parking, despite having one behind. Toilets were relatively small and felt like a typical Japanese business hotel toilet, which did not match the aesthetics of the hotel which felt more Western overall.

The room was clean, location was near Kyoto station. The hotel itself provides welcome drinks everyday, and has an amazing selection of drinks. The lobby area is more like a courtyard, which is unique for a hotel in Japan. The indoor onsen is great too. There is free laundry available.

The double room was of a normal size for Japan but designed in a way that hardly allowed us to open a suitcase (just one) and then move around freely. Just one of us could use a bedside shelf, the other side of the bed lacked it. In terms of the price, we got a good deal on Booking. The room would be too basic if we had to pay the full price.

You cannot beat the prime location of this place in very close proximity to Kyoto Station. At the same time the neighbourhood was quiet at night to allow good rest. We very much enjoyed onsen, sauna and also free beverages at the bar. Great idea to offer guests the opportunity to make their own coffee from scratch, including grinding the beans.

Only real compliant is no power outlet next to bed for phone charging. Breakfast area is a bit small so you may have to wait for a seat to open up if you don't get there early. Could be a problem if you're on a schedule and wake up late from karaoke induced hangovers.

Location is ideal for access to Kyoto Station. Rooms a slightly larger than typical hotels. Breakfast buffet is very nice with both traditional and western options. Small gym and free drink station is great.

Some parts of building seem spotted, but it is an open-ended hotel so that I think it’s reasonable and acceptable. Not a big problem.

It’s filled with good vibe and close to station. The facilities are useful.
