How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The fact they provide washing machine for individual room is very good I don’t need to rush to the public washing machine to rush to get my washing done. It’s very time savings & super convenient. I love it. Plus their breakfast are amazing!!

This hotel doesn’t have a parking and we used one of their alliance car parks. Once we park, it is a flat rate for 21 hours at JPY1,100 but the charge will be reset once we pull a car and a new charge will incur when we park again even within the 21 hours. We knew it in advance and as we could walk to the tourist attractions from this hotel, we didn’t have any problems. But bear in mind for this when you plan to stay this hotel.
The hotel is located at the center of Matsumoto and we could walk to visit Matsumoto Castle and shops and restaurants around the castle and Nakanachi Dori area. The hotel looked quite new and everything was clean. I liked they had a public bath in the hotel so we could be relaxed by taking a bath and immediately lie down at our room above. We stayed at a room with a washing machine, and I was impressed they provided a rack to dry the clothes in the room (while many other hotels don’t have these).

A little noisy from the rooms upstairs
Very clean and everything in the room was in perfect working order. The breakfast was outstanding. Staff was very friendly.

This hotel was a hidden gem. Not super fancy, but the room was large, clean, and comfortable. The onsen was really nice (actually better than ones at more pricey hotels), they have massage chairs and some free snacks and drinks and things. Good location close to the train and bus stations. Recommended!

We needed more space for our luggage. And the kimono was itchy but i brought my own night wear.
Your breakfast buffet was superb! It was the healthiest breakfast in all the hotels around the world that i have traveled. Lots of veges, fish, greens and all cooked the japanese way was excellent! Your hotel must be proud for offering such a healthy lifestyle beginning with food that you offer. Highly recommended! 👍

Room and bathroom are pretty small. The bathroom in particular. There is no parking at the hotel, but a large parking space is available right in front (the entrance on the parallel road, the exit right in front). A bit pricey.
Rooms are clean and essential. The hotel seems new. The location is close to a lively area with restaurants and bars. The distance to the castle is walkable and takes you across the river and by a small square with little shops and a temple. Breakfast is ok, with some Western options.

The breakfast buffet was good with a great selection. The food is delicious too. There's free drinks served until 7pm, free ochatsuke served between 9:30pm and 11:30pm. Free coffee served from 5:30am onwards.

Very nice hotel close to the Matsumoto train station. The room was rather small but had a lot of hangers and smart solutions which we could use for our clothes. We also liked the onsen in the hotel very much.

There are a lot of options for breakfast but some items are a hit or miss and it is on the expensive side for hotel breakfasts in Japan.
The hotel is very modern and comfortable. The room and bathroom were both spacious and beautiful. I loved how the shower/bathroom came with the stool and bath setup allowing you to shower sitting down. Loved the bed and bath linens -- fabrics smelled good and were soft to the touch. The hotel feels clean and smells nice. It is very close to the train station and Alpico bus station making it super convenient for those traveling for day trips to Kamikochi and other destinations. It is also near several shopping malls, a lawson, and a book store. We loved the location.

The public bath was a bit small. Room cleaning was not available for short stays.
The free welcome drinks and the proximity to the Matsumoto station and bus terminal. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

Hotel did not have cleaning service if you stay less than 4 nights. No complimentary drinking water.
Hotel is clean and locate close to both Bus station and Train station.
