How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bed was too hard. Couldn’t get a good night’s sleep.
Spacious rooms, beautifully designed property. Very near a subway station and walking distance to Tenjin.

not much to not like, but the onsen does get really crowded in the evenings - i went once and there was no more lockers available so had to wait 10 minutes to put my stuff away.
everything. from the moment i walked in i really liked the smell of the hotel. it’s thoughtfully decorated, but minimal. staff is incredibly accommodating. there are really light bird sounds as you walk through the hallways to your room. the room has great ambient lighting and it is so worth it to pay for a higher floor. the onsen was also so nice and so clean and the free ice pops after was a great touch. i would go back, i honestly miss it - i didn’t wanna leave!

We noticed some dust in our room over headboard etc..
We loved the lounge / deck spaces in multiple locations. It gave us many options to sit and drink.

1. Too dark in the corridor, suggest to keep it brighter, otherwise looks haunted. 2. Food selection for breakfast buffet not many choices, a bit disappointed though.
The corner view room was great and with lots of natural light came in. Proper bathroom and toilet, water pressure is good.

A coffee pod machine would be an added bonus for such a nice hotel ,but really a first world problem!
Lovely classy hotel in great location. Had a corner sky floor room exceptional view and space. Laundry on the same floor added bonus as was the bluetooth speaker in the room.

Hotel location, central to all requirements, with easy access to the subway and taxis. With pleasant walks in an around the area. Rooms are so wonderful and spacious, with lovely views. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, the hotel staff, were very very polite and helpful. We would definitely return to this wonderful hotel in the future.

We enjoyed the onsen. There was an outdoor garden and a bar on the same floor and we could take our drink back to our room which had a fabulous large picture window. Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly and attentive staff.

Nothing - coffee a bit expensive
Great quality everywhere. Best location. Fantastic Onsen with 2 hot and 1 ice cold which was fantastic for the sauna. Sauna was great temperature. Room was spacious with a great river view. Smart TV with netflix which was nice.

The rooms were not being vacuumed on a daily basis.
It is conveniently near everything - family mart, donki, Ichiran headquarters and right next to the dessert place known for marshmallow topped ice cream. The room was quite big and spacious and the river view was spectacular!

The check-in area was a bit tight but that is minor issue.
Convenient location. Close to good eateries and shopping. Public bath was clean and beautiful. Breakfast was good!

The public bath gets very busy sometimes so avoid the peak times as hygiene can be an issue then
The breakfast was very good with excellent variety and quality of ingredients. Also featured lots of yummy japanese breakfast/

Holy Smokes! Very nice hotel, good location and great price for the area. Staff was friendly and room was huge (we booked a corner king). Do yourself a favor and stay here!

The cafe prices were exorbitant for no reason. A tiny cappuccino was over 700 yen. The breakfast was also not worth the money.
Great location and facilities are new and as a foreign resident, the check-in was smooth and hassle-free. Rooms are spacious for Japan and they have smart TVs that showcase nice scenic spots around Kyushu.

Didn’t have a wardrobe, short stay is ok.
We initially booked in Sept but Typhoon came. They were very nice to give us a last min cancellation for free. We also had a package delivered prior and they kept it for us until our friend collected them later. Service is superb. Stay was pleasant but we didn’t have time to use the facilities. Hotel is clean. Shower pressure and temperature is perfect. 10 mins walk to Tenjin only. And there’s a 24 hour sushi restaurant nearby
