How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It's located in the CBD and evening and early morning are a bit noisy from the bus companies but not really a big issue

the hotel is situated in the location that is quite overwhelming in the evening.

Only one towel per person and no wastebin in the bathroom. Everything else was perfect.

Nothing.
Perfect place for business trip. All staff members are friendly and hard working! Angela is very helpful and she has warm hospitality. There is a restaurant, "SOY" at the ground floor and you can have a good breakfast and enjoy good Chinese cuisine at dinner time. Especially, they have a "Combo meal" and this is good for travelling alone. It is located near the bus stages and outside is noisy but inside hotel is very quiet.

Unfortunately I was at the room facing the road and during night there were a lots of noise because of traffic and bus stop.
I liked staff a lots : professional , kind and very attentive . I liked rooms , cleaned , and fresh bedsheets . If I can suggest duvet it’s too strong for Mombasa weather and ac was on top of bed like fan too . Hot water was fantastic and breakfast too . I’ll be back for sure asking a back room with no noise .

The place is too noisy and the room has a bad smell. It was too hot despite the AC.
New property and the room is very spacious. The location is in the city and easy to walk and get around. I liked the breakfast. The staff are very friendly. Angela was very helpful. Thanks

The rooms need to have fixed safes to store personal valuables. The hotel offers portable safes, which is not secure where anyone can run away with it.
The staff were amazing, hotel room was spacious and clean.

Does not have common areas. Breakfast from The restaurant is quite good, but lunch & dinner from restaurant is just okay.
Very clean, new suites. Hot water, great AC, good wifi. Would be nice to have a larger desk in the room as the wooden shelf in the room is a bit narrow. Employees are friendly and can help you call a tuk tuk. Room service is great.

The hotel is located on a busy main street and going out for a walk or to a shop was a challenge, as it is not a touristic spot and a white person on the street or in the shop was an easy target for picking on.
The room was big, nice and had everything needed. Staff was friendly and helpful, without asking for money, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was right next door and was also quite nice.

Thank you very much Abdulrezzak at the reception. Abdulrezzak was so helpful that he was very interested in everything. They arranged Tuktuk driver Ali for us to tour the city. Ali showed us around the city very well. If you happen to be there, be sure to take a tuktuk tour around the city with Ali. When we got on the train to leave the city, our phone was left in his vehicle and he delivered it to us in an incredible way. Many thanks to all staff at reception, restaurant and security.Breakfast was very very delicius

I had a friend escort me home from drinks on one of the nights and I got charged a fine for having another person in my room even if they didn’t stay. It’s a very conservative place that the fact that he was male had them assuming the worst
The receptionist was friendly and the manager was very helpful in arranging local transportation as well as recommendations for my stay

they dont allowed to have any visitor even 2 minets@ the managment are rudes! Also when u pay with ur card they do charge 1.5% which they didnt mention on booking.com

It would’ve been nice to have a vegan milk option for coffee/tea and oatmeal for breakfast.
The staff was just lovely. The room was clean and the bathroom too. Can’t complain. The food in the restaurant was tasty and filling.
