Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

EthiopiaThe rooms were very mediocre and old. Fans had a mass growing on them. It looked very old and unmaintained. Given the fact that there were much better places for that price it is a bit disappointing.
The location and the reception staff were amazing. They have a nice pool too.

United KingdomThe bed was 2 jammed together, but still pretty comfortable. Initially we didn't have WiFi to the room but later on started working, which was pretty Decent. They could do with a couple of WiFi boosters in the buildings furtherest from the reception building.
It was by far the cheapest accommodation in watamu, it had a pool which was in decent condition. Rooms have ac which works and a brew kit was available on request. The view from each apartment was great. The staff were pretty helpful.

KenyaOh. So much to mention but the staff were helpful. Housekeeping staff was great. But omg. The room is so so so old. The AC don’t work. It’s old old old. The doors are broken. The bathroom not looking clean. Balcony view is great for the beach. But all else is terrible. Terrible is an understatement. Imagine no water in your room for over 8 hours and having to be given water with a bucket. It’s a total scam to have stayed in this place. The photos are way way deceiving. I rate it 1/10 because the housekeeper was very helpful. But it didn’t feel safe. For a woman a man was almost breaking into my door at around 3:00am. I was so scared and I would not advice anyone to book this horrible derelict hotel
The location is the only beautiful thing about this place.

SwedenWould not recommend this place to anyone. It is really expensive yet the whole place and its facilities are so old and falling apart. There are constant powercuts which makes it unbearable to be or sleep in the rooms as it becomes 30+ degrees in there so we did not sleep anything during our stay there. The pool is dirty and the sunbeds are falling apart. The breakfast was poor and they did not even offer tea (we were asked to bring our own tea...). The wifi does only work in the reception. The service was the worst I have ever experienced, zero competence when it comes to service or problem solving or even being polite. There were 50+ UNHCR tents throughout the whole garden with hundreds of people living in the garden and being very loud.
Absolutely nothing honestly. And I have travelled around the world budget style and do not have high requirements but this place is horrible.
