Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceLocation is amazing, in the countryside with the view on the rice field. The bamboo rooms are so atypical and although there are plenty of space, we don't get disturbed by insects or other animals. As it is far from the city it is worth having food at the restaurant (the food is definitely awesome) and take a tour with Mr. driver. Unless you have your own plan already, like cycling around, I would recommend to stay there and use all services provided. It's out of the city, which I loved, but to consider based on your priorities. Lastly, the kindness of the people there was something 👌🏼

United KingdomWe liked everything but you should be aware the toilet / shower is not en suite.
The host family are lovely and very attentive and the bungalows are set alongside paddy fields. It gave us a real insight into Cambodian village life. The showers are by bucket from a big water urn but this is fine and we actually extended our stay because it was so restful.

FranceI think it's not the cheapest housing (for similar comfort you can find cheaper accommodation) but that's ok.
This guesthouse was everything it thought it would be: quite isolated in the countryside of Battambang, a peaceful bungalow to rest and fuel for the next part of our trip. It was great to spend time with the family and the tuk-tuk ride offered was just amazing: it's a mix of history, culture, food tour and small hike. Would definitely do it again!

Sweet bungalow made by the owner. The spot was comfortable and beautiful . Great place to escape! It was fun to ride bikes around the local village and into the rice paddies and lotus fields. The food was great too! And I LOVED the traditional bath. It was so refreshing!

PolandEverything - bungalow was simple but clean and comfortable, food very good. It’s a bit outside of the city, but that’s the charm of the place. The owners are super nice and helpful, they also organized for us an amazing guide, Mr. Sam, for a day trip around Battambang. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property about 15 minutes north of central Battambang. Quiet and serene! Home cooked meals on premises, very tasty and great value. The family that runs it is so nice, kind and genuine people! Loved the traditional “Khmer shower”!

United KingdomWhilst it didn't bother us, if you wanted easy access to Battambang town then the bungalows are a fair way out. Some people may not like that the washing facilities are basic.
A fantastic stay at the Dream bungalows. The family running the accommodation were outstanding, making us feel so welcome. We did a day tour with the owner which was a brilliant way to see all the sights around Battambang. The bungalows themselves are simple but in a lovely, calming location.

CambodiaI enjoyed the peace and quiet. As a bonus, it was very close to a historic old temple, that was easy to reach with a borrowed bicycle. The food was tasty and freshly made, and the owner and his family were all very welcoming. Sanitary facilities are basic, with a toilet and bucket shower. They were kept quite clean, and were located a short distance from my bungalow. The bungalow itself was a room on stilts made of wood, bamboo and woven mats. A ceiling fan provided a cooling breeze. It had a balcony, with hammock, table and chairs. The free pick-up in town was with a motorbike, so big suitcases would present a bit of a challenge! All in all, it was a lovely place to get away from a hectic life and chill for a bit!

PolandI've been to Battambang few times and stayed in different places, but this is my favorite one so far. Even though I rarely sacrifice my comfort, this place (with it's Khmer style bath tub:) is totally worth it. It's very well taken care of, everything is very clean, bedsheets, towels, curtains are always extremely fresh. It's surrounded by the lavish garden and is very peaceful and relaxing. Also, the owner and the whole family are very polite and helpful.

Netherlands-
Outside of town, quiet and peaceful. The family built a little jungle with beautiful bungalows in their garden. The shower is very basic:water + trowel-you don't need more :) The food was amazing. The host is also a tour guide for a lot of years and we did a full-day tour with him, also to non-touristic places. The family was always around (had dinner next to us) and helped us with all questions. The family also supports the local community, they built up a school for kids to teach them English (as they don't learn it in public school), so staying there, also supports them in doing this important job.

AlgeriaNot related to the host or the place but more in the neighborhood. There were a loud music coming from a wedding in the area and they started very early. If you are OK with it then it's fine.
If you are looking to immerse yourself in nature, this is the place for you. The stay is a bit far from the city center but its worth it. The host built the whole place himself using bamboo and palm stems. There is no WiFi which made it a good experience to disconnect a bit. Food supplied by the host is delicious. Everything we had was yum. Very comfortable bed, clean sheets, and sweet hosts. Great view on sunset. They offered us a pick up from the station. And guided us to get a scooter and the itineraries for the whole 2 days. We ended up extending our stay with them.

United KingdomIt’s perfect exactly as it is ♥️
The perfect place to stay in Battambang ♥️ The host and family were super welcoming, the food was delicious and the accommodations are stunning. The whole place was built by hands of the family out of local bamboo, and it’s amazingly well done - with a beautiful place to watch the sunset across nearby paddies. The host even collected us from the boat in his tuktuk for free. The bat cave driver he arranged for us was brilliant, reasonably priced and off the tourist track. Bicycles were free to rent and the countryside is lush to explore, properly immersed in rural life 🌞 Its truly a dream place to stay, we extended for a few more days and even ended up having a karaoke party with them and their neighbours before we departed. The facilities are back to basics, but honestly that’s all part of the charm and the experience. 100% recommend.

It’s unique and a good price for the night away from the city. Battambang is a little slow and boring. This accommodation is in the outskirts of town and you can rent a bike and explore the local life around. I enjoyed staying in the bungalows and washing myself with a bucket. The food served here is absolutely delicious and fresh. They even found fresh fish for me to cook as I requested I wanted to try their fish amok. I also really enjoyed their vegetable tomyum and chicken noodle soup. I highly recommend this place for a sort of unique experience and a nice getaway from the city and trying out their delicious food. I lounged around their hammocks for awhile too. It’s a great place to relax.

United KingdomIt’s far from the city so would be more awkward to go for dinner in town but certainly not impossible. I went for lunch in town and had dinner at the bungalows which was lovely Khmer food. Can’t fault the place
Really great to be out in the countryside and fall asleep to the sounds of nature. The family who run here were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. I paid for a day trip to the bay caves and bamboo railway and was charged a really reasonable price. Really got a feel for the real Cambodia. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!
