Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayIt was nothing I didn't like. Could pick on the poor lights though, but that's part of the jungly experience.
So nice and jungly, still right in town. The bungalows are well spaced out down the valley, giving you a high degree of privacy. Some reviews give you the idea that the bungalows are a bit basic. They are far from not! Spotless clean and very well set up with a comfortable bed. Even a kettle. A very nice bathroom made up of stones. Private balcony. There is a lovely wooden terrace restaurant with a view of the tree tops, but I didn't eat there as it was all none smoking. It's located very close to the Green carrot. The town's travellers restaurant which can arrange anything you need.

United KingdomIt was like an oasis of beauty tucked away in a lush and quiet location when the rest of the city is not so appealing… we loved the treetop bar and restaurant and the bungalows were charming and nicely put together in a rustic but stylish way. Excellent value for money friendly super helpful staff.

Central location but still surrounded by nature, with a nice view on a small valley - great for sunsets. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable with all the necessities, including a private balcony. It was very peaceful when we went there (October). Food and drinks at a good quality-cost-quantity ratio. Two nearby quality restaurants too in the same street. The staff is very friendly and helpful (motorbike rental, bus rental, facilitating the organization of jingle treks etc.).

BelgiumThe bathroom had some animal problems, one had a frog cause bathroom roof wasn’t really sealed and another one a colony of aunts . It is to be expected when staying in an natury area but I guess they could clean a little more and some maintenance. That aside for the price and the views and overall the bungalows are very nice.
Super Nice place , bungalows sorroundef by trees, the restaurant bar has amazing view and is situated in the top of the trees which makes it really special

CambodiaIt is fully immersed in the nature, so of you are scared of finding a spider in your room this is not the place for you! I loved every moment of my stay here, will surely come back and recommend it to anyone travelling to Ratanakiri for work or for leisure.

United Kingdomunfortunately while we were there temperatures were reaching 39degree Celsius and without aircon the room was unbearable. The ceiling fan just moved the hot air around and we slept (if you can call it that) pouring sweat. we avoided being the room as much as we could and reduced our stay to escape. The shower is okay, but it was incredibly hot (perhaps the tank is kept in the sun) so that didn’t help cool you down. There is no mozzy net provided and it is needed (luckily we have our own). there was some lipstick left on the cups provided in the room :( we were made to check out several hours earlier than is advertised in the policy which was a last minute faff. if you aren’t a fan of creatures sharing your room, this isn’t for you - our lizard roommate kept leaving us generous little brown presents!!
I loved that this property was surrounded by nature - from the hammock on our balcony we could watch the squirrels running around the big trees. The rooms was fairly stylish in the local wooden lodge way. being covered in the trees the balcony was cooler than other parts of Ratanakiri. The laundry service was helpful. The open air restaurant had a good breeze and view. The DIY safe built was pretty useful and indestructible. The location is good and near some of the western friendly tour offices and restaurants - Green Carrot is tasty and super super friendly, and the owner’s husband was a great tour guide and took us on some great outings in his tuk tuk.

BelgiumThis was the most expensive place we've stayed during our trip through Laos and Cambodia, but it was terrible value for money at the moment. I feel like they maintained prices from before covid, but our room definitely was not maintained well during that period. We booked one night before our trek and one night after our trek. Both times times there was no hot water in the shower. The first time I opened the tap from the sink In the bathroom, brown water came out the first few seconds. There were many openings between the sides and the roof, so we had a lot of ants in the room and were also visited during the night by a frog the size of my fist, a gecko and some kind of rodent. It's a beautiful place to stay, but definitely needs some work right now.
Staff was very friendly, helped us book bus tickets and provided packed breakfast, since we left in the early morning before breakfast started. Room looked nice. Restaurant area looked nice as well
