Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeThe family suite had both rooms with double beds, it would have been better with one double bed and the other 2 twin beds since people who will probably book such rooms are parents with kids. There are actually no towel racks though the toilet is actually pretty spacious. Would have been good. The TV settings were all in Korean, would have been nice if they had set it to English instead.
Spacious, good location, new, bath robes, Japanese type bidet toilet, washing machine, 3 types of beverages: coffee, green tea, chocolate! Gym was descent! There are 4 lifts serving the building. Breakfast was good with both continental and Korean food. We arrived early at around 12 and was given a complimentary early check-in by the staff as our room was already ready. Staff was kind and courteous.

LithuaniaThe only thing was that the cleaning wasn't consistent - the towels or bathrobe was sometimes gone after the cleaning. But the reception always responded quickly to requests for towels and bathrobes.
I think the location was great, its around 15 minutes to the main Myeongdong area, but its in the middle of a very interesting bustling area with a lot of restaurants and local shops around. The room was cozy and clean, and the staff was always helpful. There are 2 convenience stores in the building and one cafe, which makes it really convenient.

GuamWe were a family of four and had my children been any bigger, the room wouldn’t have worked for us. They had to share the sofa to sleep (it was not a sofa bed).
Extraordinarily clean facility!! The room was impeccable, as well as all the other areas we saw (hallways, elevators, lobby). All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Easy access to bus/subway/restaurants . Very quiet room too.

GermanyAC unit was installed in a way that cold air would directly hit you when you lie in bed which heightens the chance of catching a cold at night. A few more hangers would have been great to hang up washed laundry for drying.
The room was perfectly equipped with all appliances you would need for longer stays including fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Location was also great with convenient stores, subway stations and various cafés nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

SwitzerlandUpon leaving, you have to rent a locker (accepts card) to store your luggage. It's not very expensive, but it was a surprise since other, even smaller hotels did it for free. Also finding the hotel (since it's inside a shared building) took longer than expected. More signs in English outside would be helpful.
A small but functional gym with free water that was my highlight. The staff is friendly. The location is convenient and in the heart of Seoul, allowing you to potentially walk to many sights if you're a walker like myself (e.g. it took 50min to walk to the palace). Upon arrival you can store your luggage for free at the hotel and go around until it's time to check in.

GermanyEven though the rooms had a lot of wardrobes and cabinets there was a lack of hooks - to hang up your jackets etc. The same problem in the bathroom - only one small rack for all towels. In the kitchen there is no cookware or cutlery. Only 4 mugs and 3 small spoons. We didn't need it since we didn't cook but a set of cutlery would be nice. The rooms were cleaned every day but the bedding didn't get a change in the two weeks. That was okay for us but maybe other want to get a change every week.
We were a group of 5 friends and had 4 different rooms. One Junior Suite and three solo rooms. We booked the Junior Suite as a couple and had enough space for all 5 people when we had dinner together or just spend time together in one room. The rooms were very clean and spacious enough. The bathroom also was very clean. All rooms had a small kitchen with a refrigerator (two of the rooms also had a freezer), an electric kettle and a washing machine. (When you use the washing machine you have to rent a drying rack. It was quite hard to get one but after we got one we didn't have to pay rent or anything.) The A/C worked without problems. All rooms were locked with a touchpad and every room had its own code. So you didn't have to look after the key or card. We didn't book breakfast before but you can eat breakfast and pay right there. We only did eat at the hotel the first morning. There were a lot of options - asian and continental. Coffee, water, juice and tea were included. But we didn't eat there again because for ~19€ we got better option at the cafés in the area. (There are plenty of good coffee shops and cafés in Seoul with good food.) The hotel has a really nice roof top with seating areas but you only can reach it via stairs and you need a code for the door from the reception. The two convenience stores (GS25) in the hotel are super useful. Two subway lines were only 2-5mins. away and a third one 10mins. You can walk to the Myeongdong shopping street in 10-15mins.

GreeceI think for a group of friends staying for 11 nights the option of giving us rooms away from the noise caused from the people working on the building across the hotel should be considered. Waking up from that noise all of these days was a headache.
The location was very good. Just a couple minutes from the metro station. A lot of options if you would like to eat near the hotel. The 24hour convenient store saved as a lot of time. The staff was friendly. The gentleman at the parking lot always had a big smile on his face and he was very helpful.

AustraliaBreakfast was included in the daily rate but we only received meal vouchers for half the members of our family. The hotel staff explained that this was due to some advertising error on Booking.com. We noticed a strong smell of cigarettes in the hallways on some days during our stay.
The hotel was within a 5 minute walk from Chungmuro station on the Seoul Subway so is well positioned to easily access the rest of Seoul. Myeongdong is a bit of a long walk but is only one stop away on the subway. There are two GS25 convenience stores on the ground floor and a variety restaurants of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. The staff at the hotel spoke good English and were helpful when approached. The room itself provided enough space for our family and was well-presented.
